I've been doing the coupon thing for less than a year now - it was sometime last winter on a snowy evening that I logged on to my computer, ebay was my home page then -AFC is now! - anyway - I left the room for a minute and when I came back -Ebay had a thing on the homepage that listed the top 10 selling items - one of the items was 'grocery coupons' I remember at the time that I had been clipping .50 cents q's out of my inserts to get my husband Red Hot sauce, my store doubles so this coupon brought down the price for the small bottle to .49 cents which I thought at the time was a good deal-anyway- I decided I would do a search for Red Hot q's - and what did I find - .75 cents coupons! I couldn't believe it- I knew right away a hit the jackpot - Free Redhot!! I totally overdid it and bought like 200 q's ![]() Anyway - that was my FIRST good deal and as the year is coming to a close, I've been thinking about all the great things that I have got for free since that time.. So I thought I would ask you all to share your best or maybe it wasn't your best - just your favorite deal you did this past year?? Besides the Red Hot which started this whole coupon thing for me, mine would be the B1G1 deal recently at Rite Aid on Herbal Essence hair products -with the q you got both for free- I ended up with 96 products..That was probably my favorite one..Didn't even pay sales tax! So what was your best deal? Thanks for sharing...

I'm sure I'll change my mind 10 times on this thread, but the first thing that comes to mind was the $3/1 Ben & Jerry's pint IP. It is hard to beat free Ben & Jerry's. I even asked DH to print 2 from his work laptop and I never cross that line. When he heard it was for Ben & Jerry's he didn't even question it - he asked how to do more.

Mine is a toss up for two different things. First was the sale at wags in June for Got2B products. There was a coupon to go with the sale and I paid .24 each for many different items in this line. Got a total of 40 Got2B products!! Second was the coupon for 1.00 off any Blue Bunny product and walmart had them for 1.00 each. I think I got 20 single bars free. These were my favorites!!!

ahh...yes the Blue Bunny...yummy free ice cream... LOVED that one! I'd have to say the month that I schemed and plotted to get MM to buy a years worth of Tide ![]() I shopped at WAGS and had MM all month...Ecotrin, St Ives bodywash...then get 60 jars of Ragu and ended the month spending RR that I'd earned to buy 12 jugs of the large Tide...it was my first taste of overage and MM and I was hooked

There are many but this Target deal comes to mind. I can't remember the details completely however it was something like buy two bottles get $5 GC and there was a $2 off printable coupon. I made a lot of money on that deal. Then to boot sold most of the Pantene for $2 each! Oh and then the deals that offered a free product RR when you bought one and they rolled. oh the joy (til it was fixed.. ) And oh the days of stacking printable coupons for CVS Sad sad day when that stopped. Great thread I like reading what others remember!!

I'm bringing up ancient history I know ( ) but last year at this time I got tons of free archer farms coffee bags (the small ones) for either free or .08 each after the target ips that are no more. Sad. I had some rockin' gift baskets last year. Oh and the free celestial seasonings tea from wags. This year the gm publix deal ROCKED!!! LOL. That herbal essences deal was really good at rite aid. Wish I had had more coupons that week. I hadn't recycled b/c I was really sick. Also someone beat me to the hairspray . Happy holidays everyone! Ho ho ho!

I love the Dove deal at Wags a couple of months back, where you buy 8 get $10. RR and the Dove were buy one get one free, use mqs and they were like free or almost free. If I can get hold of Toblerone qs, this can easily be my favorite bc even without mqs I still buy 4 a day. We love this chocolate.

Ahh, coupon memories. The BOGO on Purex when CVS had a BOGO sale. The wonderful world of free trial size after coupon (I used coupons sporadically for a few years but only after I discovered AFC did I learn about the trial sizes.) The Target Skippy deal that made a jar of PB 29 cents! Tons of free mayo and Miracle Whip at Target. The whole discovery that you really should not pay more than a quarter for condiments, body products, or cosmetics. It has been an awesome year, and now I just sit on my stockpile waiting for deals that really impress me. And I am not half as good as most on this site, but I'm still really happy!

Publix coupon for $5 off 3 Johnson & Johnson first aid/bandage products. Combined with the $3 off 2 J&J Blinkie. Bought 6 J&J To Go Travel kits ($1.47 each) and received $10.18 in overage each time I did that (Probably ended up with over $500 in overage during the 3 weeks or so that the $5 Publix coupon was valid. ) J&J bought a lot of groceries for me this year. |

I've really put couponing on the back burner this year so I haven't gotten in many deals lately but my favorite one was the Sally Hansen one at Walgreens. Buy 3 or 4 SH products, get 5.00 off your next SH. Then buy 3 Sally Hansen nail polishes, minus 5.00 coupon, I paid .01 and another 5.00 coupon printed. I did this several times and I have enough nail polish to last me a life time (or until they expire and end up some weird looking color )

I think my favorite deals are the ones that I can give to people and say, "No problem. It was free." I just sent a big bag of oatmeal, peanut butter and Sweet Sue Chicken & Dumplings to the Food bank that maybe cost me $5 OOP. I just got a deal from Food Lion for Huggies for $1.24/pack. I only had enough Q's to get three packs that cheap, but I was stoked. I know we all get excited about the big deals, but I am just happy to have a stack of coupons to hand the cashier every time I shop. Even saving a $1 or 2 is better than nothing.

I loved the softsoap from Target or the Nivea from Wags that was free after RR. And of course Glade, I didn't get as much this year as I did last though.

I love the Nivea Bodywash, and I was able to get a ton of it with the $2 IP (several computers plus trades for IP's) Kmart had doubles up to $2 here briefly, and it was on sale for $4. I loved all the Almay Mascara, Foundation, and Eye Shadow I got Wags, too. The females in this house are very happy!
