Last night at 2:30, I was up because the baby was crying. Dh gets up and hears something outside. He looks out the window, and says there are people fighting out there in the road! I look out and sure enough, two people yelling and screaming at each other. At first I thought it was two teenagers messing around. then we figure out it is a guy and a girl. the guy had a motorcycle. He was pushing her around and knocked her on the ground. She gets up - has a cell phone in hand- I thought she was calling the cops. He gets up to get back on the cycle, and she takes a running start and tackles the guy! This went on for some time. the only thing stopping me from call the cops was she had her phone in hand the whole time! He grabbed the phone and threw it on the ground. She went to get it, and he sped off on the cycle. She goes running after him. Then I see the cops at the neighbors house, so dh goes out to talk to them as well and tell them what he saw. By that time, they pair were gone.
Cut to this am. I send my girls out to the bus stop. 5 mins later, they come running back in- shaking and scared- MOM- drive us to school, there are two people fighting over there! I asked where, and they said that house with the motorcycle in front of it!! I immediately knew who it was, grabbed my phone and dialed 911- now we live in a very quiet development, so this is not the norm here- I run outside, determined not to let this girl get hurt on my watch this time. Here, the guy came back, and chased this girl to her house- 5 doors over from me!!!! He dumped the bike on its side right in front of the door to the house!! At this point, the cops were driving down the road- someone else had called as well, and I showed them the house. They bring him around front, yelling and screaming like a mad man- my girls were scared to death.
Apparently this happens a lot with these two, according to the talk at the bus stop this am- almost every parent was there, to keep and eye on there kids and make sure things were ok. Would you believe this idiot girl didn't press any charges!!! They just let him go. I went up to talk to the police when they were done, to see what was happening. They said at this point there was nothing they could do- we live in a small township, so they share police duties with the State Police, and even though they share the area jurisdiciton, they can't combine last night and this am because last night it was State troopers, and this am it was local- wtf?? Any way, they did ban this guy from the neighborhood, so if he does come back, they have something to work on even if the girls doesn't press charges. You better belive it I will be keeping an eye uot for him!
Thanks for letting me vent- i was on over drive this am- mother lion syndrome!

Dang, girl! That's just insane. Hopefully she'll learn her lesson and not take this kind of crap from him but from the way it sounds, I doubt it! With you & DH having a new baby, you need your sleep...not having to deal with an ig-mo neighbor. Glad no one on your end was hurt.

That is crazy I will have to share the story about the drunk red hat lady who took her clothes off in my next door neighboors front yard last August!! Your story brings back some memories!!!

Well- luckily it was quiet the rest of the day yesterday. I did have to go out later before diner to get some rolls, and would you believe it. At the entrance to our development, I see the guy sitting on his motorcycle, talking to her on the phone!! I didn't have my cell with me, so I made it the fastest shopping trip even to get back and make sure he didn't come INTO the development. He was gone by the time I got back- thank goodness. At least he obeyed the police and didn't enter the area, but talk about pushing the limits. We slept with the window cracked last night to make sure we could hear if anything transpired.
You just never know these days!
