The local university is performing the show this weekend. I am trying to figure out if it is a "family show" or not. We are big time Seuss fans in my house... just don't know if the musical version is appropriate for a 5 yr old.

Thoughts?

DH has nixed the idea. He says his dad saw the original production on Broadway and said it was bad.

5 yr old ~ no!

I saw it and loved it! DD 5 napped, DD 9 complained and DS 12 made rude comments before napping.

There is no:
Green Eggs & Ham
Go Dog Go
One Fish, Two Fish
Cat in the Hat

It does have:
Horton
The army one (Mr. mustard's Military or whatever)
and a few others I just barely remembered

It is not mainstream Seuss ~ so I can see why DH's DD would say it was bad ~ my DH was lost.

He took us because I am a big Seuss fan ~ but it should have been a "date night" ~ I would have enjoyed it more.
