You see, there is no such thing as "Pluto"...it's been "downgraded".

So the new acronymal sentence to remember the order of our solar system will have to be something like:


"My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Noodles"

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.

I just read that they are trying to pass some "law" or somthing that states we have 12 planets now. I didn't read into it a whole lot. Will go back and see if I can find the article.

you'd think if they were going to get rid of one, they'd get rid of the one that annoys teachers most - Uranus...

I read that article about the 12 planets thing too - read the whole thing and it confused me...I think they said one planet's moon would be a planet on it's own? Maybe the kids were screaming at the time, but after I read it, I figured someone would let me know what the new planets were once they decided....

That's what brought about Pluto's demotion. It was last week at the same conference.
