It's getting close to easter time and I need some ideas for easter baskets. I try to do practical things for the kids like outfits for spring and stuff like that for them. This year we are going to disney not long after easter so I thought it would be nice to put in their baskets things that they can take along for the ride to make the horrible 18 hours more fun. My kids are 8, 5, 3 and newborn. Of coures the baby doens't need anything but what can I do for the other ones.

Whenever we go visit the grandparents 4 hr drive. I bring coloring books etch a sketch or doodle boards, color wonder books and markers. We also bring our laptop for the girls to watch movies on, books for them to read. Lots of snacks. The good thing long drive = long naps. We drove to Jersey from Flordia one year when my son was about 4 I swear that boy sleep the whole way there .

I no longer enjoy doing Easter baskets. horrible, I know. BUT, my 2 oldest are 18 & 15. my son is only 9.

It just gets so expensive to find things for them!

Well let me see now....how about the puzzle books, I would defintely think about borrowing a DVD player and get some movies, that is a life saver....my grandkids would always take there hand held games to play, they have some cheap games like that also...the hand held ones...good luck...

Buy them each a dvd.

You can rent dvd players for the car or if you are in the position to buy a portable on one you will put it to good use with the children. The easily mount and plug into a cigarette lighter. You can get them for like $80.

You know I have to get another portable DVD player, those things are great...I gave my other one to my daughter, so now I'am lost...anyone know where I can get a good cheap one???
