What are you getting for free or cheap or even something unusual, interesting or fun for your kids' Easter Baskets? Here are some of my ideas: I got bubbles and sidewalk chalk at target and walgreens on clearance at the end of the summer last year. spring coloring books from Target clearance last year Decks of cards from the target $1 spot lip balms from Avon for 69c roll on bath soap/body paint from Avon 99c (my mom just started selling) I need a few more things. What are your ideas?

I usually find my kids on clearance the season before so I am planning on pulling a couple things from that and putting it into their baskets. I also managed to get some free nail polish and nail stuff from al of our kmart double trips that will go in my daughters basket.

I saw some stuff at Walgreens today that I am going to go back and get for my kids. They had sticker books (Disney and some plain Easter themes) 2/$1, little wind-up toys for a buck, and some good prices on candy. There is also a ton of cute cheap stuff at Walmart again this year. Little bend-y rabbits and bubbles and stuff like that. I'm saving the big bucks for Target's after Easter sale. They have another Thomas set this year that DS wants, and a whole bunch of other toy sets.

Wal-mart has some 'realistic' looking hard plastic animals that my 8 yr old bought 1 of (elephant w/tusks) for a $1, and my 19 mo ds went nuts over it. I think I'm gonna pick up some of those for both, add bubbles, and maybe some art supplies from the $ Tree. My 8 yr old thinks he's getting stuff for his WII, and I said think again little man. The Easter Bunny brings stuff for outside or for actual playing, not the virtual playing! LOL!

for the 16 yr old, how about some cash (small change and dollar bills) inside plastic eggs hidden for him to find? I know you can't fit a gc in an egg (well maybe a gift certificate) but small change that adds up?

I have 2 sons, ages 2 and 8 months. I used my RR from Wags to buy their stuff. I didn't want candy for them so I bought: -2 buckets with shovels....I didn't want to buy baskets...because what the heck would I do with them later? So I decided that beach buckets would double awesome as a basket and later as a beach toy. -package of balls they were like miniature for toddlers....small basketball, football, and regular dodgeball -I bought some bath/beach toys (you have to pull a string on it and then its tail or fin flaps and it swims through the water). -a teeny tiny remote control car -a kite Most of this stuff will go to my ODS, since my YDS won't even know or care about easter yet. I think other good things (depending on your childs age) would be For a girl (pre-teen/teen) Free things from your stockpile....like bodywash, shampoo, shavers, toothbrush...etc....oh there are free scrunchies at wags next week (after getting RR). For anybody....chalk in fun shapes, kites, bubbles, perfume or cologne. I try not to make a huge deal about Easter, because I don't want to spoil my kids (thats left for their birthdays and christmas). |

DS just turned 2, so he would be just happy with a basket! I got all of the following at the dollar tree: white chocolate cross beach ball for the summer arm rings for the summer bunny sidewalk chalk 2 matchbox cars a cute little blue apron, good for messy activities, helping in kitchen, etc.
