Toys...not too much candy 'cause that goes in the eggs...this year they're getting:

DS #1
2 packs of mini monster trucks (I think 4 of them)
bubble gun
books & puzzles

DS #2
Bob the Builder Easter trucks from Target
Doodle Bunny
bubble machine that makes bubbles 'cause he can't get the bubble guns going well
books

Candy in the eggs, decorated HB eggs will be hidden (hopefully outside this year!)

I don't do baskets, they are a waste to me.

I do themes:

Like last year I did the beach theme:

Beach Bag, Towel, Sunglasses, Flip Flops, & Candy

This year I'm doing Nike bags that I got two for $5.35 total with my famous footwear rewards. Gonna add nike socks in one for my daughter who is in track, perfume from CVS when it was 90% off, polish, candy, cd for one child other has mp3 player, haven't finished it yet.

I'm giving my two year old some little plastic animals I got from oreintal trading and a bunny i got on clearance last year at easter...man im cheap, I ALWAYS give him stuff that I bought on clearance the year before for these small holidays and I buy his birthday presents on ebay, of course hes not yet old enough to know or care about any of that .

I don't give him any candy, because my mom always gives him way too much .

where's the tongue-sticking-out smiley when I need it?????????????????????

I think the "STUFF" is a bad idea

All the rest is wonderfully creative on your part! Do you need me to recommend books? I gladly will... I love love love children's books! I should've been a children's librarian. I highly recommend any board book by Sandra Boynton.

Oh..have another super idea for your niece's basket: MUSIC!! Sandra Boynton has a real cute album called "Rhinocerous Tap". I have a great lullaby album: Child's Gift of Lullabyes (think you can get on amazon) If you wish to buy her some music that mommy and daddy will also enjoy/tolerate/sing along with: any album by Laurie Berkner; Mother Goose Rocks Volume 1 or Volume 2 (didn't care for Vol 3 or 4).

Better hurry and get all those goodies for the easter baskets. I don't buy any candy for my grandkids, try and just get them something small, fishing rod (kids),books, socks, tapes, etc. just odds and ends, nothing expensive...
Happy Easter to all of you....

It made sound silly, but you could be their favorite jars of baby food in it, or teething cookies. I know Gerber makes diced fruit and veggies in packets. You could but a stuffed animal, toy or bath set w/. baby bubbles and bath toys. I know it's hard when they're young. But I'm sure anything you getthey will be happy w/. Good Luck. Happy Easter!!!
