Hey! I would love to see if we could possibly get a bunch of us together and do some couponing. I do not know many people here because I am home pretty much all day with the kids, and I go to school online. So this would be a great oppurtunity for me to meet some people. I am pretty new to couponing, so I think it would be great to get something started so we could teach each other as well.


Any other suggestions would be great!! I would love to get this together! I did pm a few people who signed up on the Indiana Roll Call... but I may have missed a few....


We do have something in the works to meet at Golden Corral here in FW on the 31st of JAn at 11am. If you would like to come let me know.

I am also looking into the firestation here in Fort Wayne and getting a meeting room there for FEB... if interested in doing that, please let me know also.

I missed the class yesterday since I got caught up in celebrating the inauguration I work on the 31st, but hopefully I can make it to the meeting at the fire station in Feb. if you have it. Oh and I should probably ask in the other thread, but was wondering if I could go to the 2nd class even though I didn't go to the first...

Wishful said that she only wants people to go to the advanced class if they have gone to the beginner class... just becasue she doe snot want to have to back track.... but you can always ask her...

I won't be able to do the 31st, but I think I mentioned that before. Hehe... Thaz okay though, I have plenty of things going on in my little world to keep me busy.

As for my advanced class, technically I would like to have had you at my beginner class first because I am going over a lot more "advanced" info in the second class... I dunno if it would help or hinder to skip over the first part. I guess it would depend on how long you've been couponing and all that. It's free and I can't really stop anyone from walking in and all.

I will not back track in the class though at all. I guess just know that up front at least? OH and I TOTALLY did not THINK about the day that I was setting up that coupon class on. Inauguration day? Duh me...

I will be having 2 more classes again in March though too. YAY! Seems to be a pretty good "demand" for them right now so I will prolly keep them coming until further notice.

Yes, I do hope to do some trading, and talk about what is going on at the current moment that would be considered a good deal at local stores... and like how you shared (wishful) about cashiers and managers and stuff like that..... I am hoping to get atleast a few of us together that can always be able to get together and share info....

mommamerri, First thanks for taking the time out of your life to plan these get-together. I know I will be at the advance class Wishful is teaching, but then 2 days later I leave for Alaska. I wont be back to FW till the 27th, so I probably will miss out on the second get-together. Maybe before hand I could give you all my Q I dont use so others could look through them. Just a thought.

cool... I wouldn't ask you to back track or anything... I think I've got the hang of coponing for the most part, been doing it since June at Kroger, Walgreens, CVS, and Meijer... I mainly just wanted to meet people and trade coupons. So merri's meet up will be great for that... But actually... since your doing more in March I could just wait til then so I can do the beginner class.... though I might be going to FL the last 2 weeks of March... if I'm able get off work... so maybe I should just come on the 2nd....

You can always check out the outline and if you have a handle on that, then come to the advanced class! I'm not going to tell people NO YOU CAN'T! HAHAHAHA That's just not me... I will just let them know that they may seem a bit stressed if they don't know the basics. HEHEHE

if you use the fire station meetin groom on a day dh is on duty i bet he will pop in and say howdy! the rooms are free, just call to book a time. i may be up for that one. we don't go places like golden corral (aka the feeding trough) b/c i just can not control my diet there.

I plan on using one of the firestation rooms for the Feb 21 or 22 date. We are actually using one for my son's party. But, I just found out that they are available for free. The only reason we are doing it at GC is because I was not aware of the free spaces at the firestation and I did not want to to have it at the library because you cannot eat in those rooms, and depending on how long they last.. I need to eat! !

we have used the party room at the station on scott rd before for dd's b day party and dh threw me a suprise party there once too. i think it is sooo cool that they offer them for free. in huntington they charge quite a bit.
dh tells me to remind you that if you have extra b day cake or goodies its nice to offer them to the fire men on duty....hmmm....i wonder why he would want you to know that?

i just realized i am doing my person training certs. feb 20-23 rd. i don't know the times yet though.

I cannot do anything extra on Sunday's around here. That's a big family day for us... and Saturday's can be a hit or miss. I dunno if I can on the 21st but I will jot the date down and check it out.

You can find them at Kroger & Scotts. I missed the 2nd class too, as well as teh Golden Corral meeting! I was so sick last week and now I am about a week behind in school. So I am trying to catch back up and then I will get this months meeting together.

And yes, what Mommamerri said, Indy Stars are at Kroger and Scott's usually. I know the Kroger up on Dupont carries them for sure... Sometimes Meijer has been known to have a few even.

Mommamerri, I hope you are feeling much better now! I got your message about being sick. UGH... Take care and worry about your stuff at home first. We can all wait.


To let everyone know my next session of "classes" is on March 10th and March 24th at 6pm. I have worked out the format of the classes now and have found that you do not have to attend the 1st one in order to get good info from the 2nd one. It's just very different information is all and focuses on different areas. I intend to be there early for each session for coupon trading.
