Booo Hoo..I always get lame gifts for Christmas. (We won't talk about the diamond "chip" anniversary band I got about 5 years ago, because I think it may have come from a gum machine-I am scared to wear it, I'm afraid the metal will bend it's so thin, but his intentions were meant to be nice.) If I told dh I want one of these like this I end up with a weird looking portable tape player that was ancient because he would never spend that much on a portable electronic.. or I would get something that was a ipod knock off, but of course it's ok if we spend almost $2000 on a tv..which hasn't happened yet..I want the $299 ipod too....I wonder if we talked to Santa or hmmmm..dh is gone out of town this week...Anybody know any "generous" SD's out there..SD meaning Sugar Daddies..I don't want to be their girlfriend in person but I will talk to them on the phone..preferably a Cingular customer.. or call me after 9pm cst....will talk for some pp $$...LOL...Just kidding...I guess I will have to settle for a ipod shuffle 512mb (the cheap one), if I can get that or nothing.

A lot of my female friends who have "gift-challenged" hubbies simply buy their own gifts on the joint credit card, wrap it, hand it to the husband and say "you got me this for Christmas, sign the card" and then they put it under the tree.

I made a donation to Heifer Organization to buy a bunch of bunnies (they go to third world nations) in my co-workers' names. It's my holiday gift to them. The subject title I put on the email notice to them?

"HAPPY HOLIDAYS, I'M MAKING BUNNY STEW".

The vegetarian in the group was horrified. It really is the gift that keeps on giving.

Love it Jean! My So is incrediabley gift challanged. Last year it was a griddle. Yes, it is a very nice griddle from BB but stillit was a GRIDDLE! Let's see in years past we too have had cheap jewlry (16 in silver necklaces that say ANGEL in a teenage kinda fashion), cash (that's always appreciated but not too classy), WM Bath and Body sets (ya knowthe $ store type stuff they put out around the holidays in stes for $8??).

I think he may have brought home an ipod from his last BB training but I want this one, the deluxe can watch tv on it ipod!


BTW, here are some gifts I have gotten for him: a very nice surround sound, nice EXPENSIVE aftershave, LLbean sweaters, a universal weight set thingie, orignal movie posters from his top 3 favorite movies........

I either buy my own stuff of send him WITH ITEM NUMBERS & PICTURES if available...DH just can't be trusted to get good stuff on his own. That and he waits until the last possible second and then picks up whatever is closest to him. After one year of that, we changed the way it's handled. I get what I want/need, he gets a happy wife. He pays for everything anyway since I'm a SAHM. I did leave it a bit up in the air this year & told him I wanted a bike, but I think he should be able to handle that one.

Sam usually gets me what I want but then likes to add in LOTS of joke gifts. One year I got a 3-stone diamond ring...and a box of lightbulbs and a set of traffic cones. He made my Mom wrap the traffic cones. Poor woman almost peed her pants from laughing.

My dh bought my X-Mas present today and gave it to me early...ready remind you he said it was for me... a 52" flat screen hdtv tv..
do you know why it is for me??? He said "now you don't have to worry about what picture you need to buy to go above the fireplace"... Aren't I the Luckiest girl in the world?? He's so thoughtful..who needs jewlery when you can have a tv.
So ladies what should I get him...I need ideas on something as meaningful as the tv....
