 It tastes like there is Alcohol in my McD's drink? What should I do??
Ok, so we went through the McD's drive through just a bit ago. I came in the house and started to eat my food, I took a drink of my soda and it tasted funny.... I took another drink and I swear it tastes like there is alcohol in it.. I had hubby to taste it and he did and his first question was, "did they give you a jack and coke" It even smells like there is alcohol in it.... What would you all do? I think the manager at night is young so I dont know that I would get anywhere.. Should I email? Thanks for any advice/  |

maybe someone was drinking on the job and you got the wrong drink. I would def call.

Are you sure it's alcohol and not just lack of syrup? sometimes I just get the soda water and it tastes a little funny.. I could relate it alcohol....

It is dark and doesnt taste like there is a lack of syrup I know what that tastes like.. This most definetly has an alcohol smell and taste to it... Im just not sure how I would prove it.

I used to be in management in ff and I would call the police first! This happened to us once and an employee thought he was cute putting vodka in everyones drinks well turns out after the supervisor on duty caught on to it a huge lawsuit could have happened! Call the police!

I think I would call the police non-emergency number and ask them. They might have some way to check, maybe some chemical. (Maybe I watch too much CSI but it's possible!) If nothing else, you will have a record of it and if there really is alcohol in there you have documentation. You drank it so I'd definitely get it checked out. It's pretty a serious crime to do things to someone's food or drink, and if it was not on purpose and someone was drinking at work that's serious too.

Good idea on calling the police. I wouldn't of thought of that at all. Just think if these kids were drinking on the job or even passed that drink to a child if there is liquor in it.

When something like this happened where I was employed at the kids thought it was funny and got sent home well .... little did we know that and didn't think of at the time that if one of them kids was in an accident after we sent them home we could have been sued big time. I was called at home told the sup. on duty to call the parents and the parents threatened to sue because their kid was driving after he had alchohol. Then it went to a corporate level and were told from the companies attorney that we should have contacted the police right away due to all the outcomes that could have happened such as a customer getting it or a child.

Yeah...I'd have to agree! Call the cops! I remember quite a few years back when someone left the bleach solution in the Iced tea pot at McDonalds Press Articles - Fast-food client claims tea was bleach

I hope it wasn't alcohol. If it was alcohol, I'm sorry that happened to you. I hope it's not an employee's idea of a joke. What if a kid or a recovering alcoholic drank it? Just too horrific to imagine.
