I have a 20 lb turkey. Its alreay in the fridge. It can take up to 4 days to defrost, depending on your fridge temp. My policy is... better an extra day defrosted than trying to quick defrost. And be sure not to brine your turkey if it already has "self basting" on the label!!!!

I took mine out...but it was more because of necessity. MIL gave us some food, so we had no room for in the freezer. If not for that, I would have taken it out today.

I heard a good rule of thumb is 24 hours for every 5 pounds of turkey. So that would mean take it out on Monday.

Mine is 11lbs and I took it out today. I hate having to thaw it in cold water the morning of Turkey day.

Mine is 26.1 and went into moms fridge on Sunday. I know it is large but we take it off the ones right away and send some home with everyone for sandwiches, and at the price i paid well worth it.

Mine is 11.5 lbs., it went straight into the fridge on Friday when I bought it because there was absolutely NO room for it in the freezer. I think it'll be fine though, I usually do 2 days before in the fridge and it's always still frozen on the big day. At least this year I won't have to sink thaw it in the morning.

I put my 11.5# in the fridge on Sunday night, and it still feels fairly frozen now (Tues. night).
