| I Won A Sweepstakes!
Yesterday I was delivered a UPS envie with an announcement and paperwork saying that I had won the Keystone Light Beer Sweepstakes - the GRAND PRIZE! It's an adventure vacation for up to 4 people - up to $5000! Apparently, there are several vacas that I will be able to choose from... they are getting back to me on that! I enter sweeps every day and I had won a small prize in September, but this is the best so far! It was so hysterical though, because I entered the sweepstakes to get one of the grills shaped like a beer can!  |

No freakin' way!!! That is so awesome! I know you're absolutely devastated that you missed out on that beer-can-shaped grill. Perhaps they'll let you trade prizes with whoever won it; I'm sure you'd want to!!

Thanks so much for your responses! I almost had a heart attack when I opened the envelope. It couldn't have come at a better time because we are having a tough time now financially, but it will give us something to look forward to next year - we have to take it before the end of December 09. I'll let you know where we decide to go! |

Congratulations on your winning. If you haven't done so already, I would encourage you to talk to someone about how this will affect your taxes. It will count as income, I'm not sure if it will be in the year you win it or the year you use it. Depending on what tax bracket you are in, this could really affect your taxes. I read a post one day about someone whose boyfriend won something and then the taxes really hit him hard. Just be prepared and know what to expect, especially if money is tight for you.
