Hi, Big Jim here:

Was anyone else sad to see Opus go today? The ending of his life made me want to call in sick to work tomorrow. It's hard to think of going back to the mundane cubicle life after thinking about how nice it was to be a little kid with no responsibilities and someone to always take care of you and read you stories at night.

I suppose if I had kids now myself, I would be very happy to rush back to work so that I could earn that paycheck and take care of them and let them live out Opus's paradise a little while longer. Oh whatever, I will be there bright and early tomorrow regardless.

P.S. I sent my grandma a copy of the book "Goodnight Opus". She loved it! Her dog used to sit down next to her when she read it.

im sad too I dont get why he didnt go back to his mother though. I mean that was the whole point of the thing anyway

Serenity, I was thinking the same thing! If he took the rabbit out of the chair and replaced it with his mother, I would have said "perfect". Opus loved and yearned for his mother so, you would have thought that any peaceful innocent magical world he wanted to spend the rest of eternity in would have his mom there.

I must have missed how the clues would lead him to being in the book "Goodnight Moon". I wrote in thinking he would spend eternity as a child with his mom looking after him. They said out of 6,000 people, 50 or so actually guessed the ending right.
