This is actually better for taxpayers because it doesn't involve any Fed $$$ like the Citi deal did. Citi peeps, of course, are not happy campers about it.

I'm feeling like a yo-yo! DH works for Wachovia and has been answering his phone ", Wells Fargo" this morning (he's working from home today). These are calls from coworkers he knows - and his personal cell phone has been ringing off the hook. Doesn't really matter if it was Citi or WF, he'll end up getting displaced either way. Hopefully that won't be for a good 6-12 mos though and will give him enough time to find something else before it happens.
