I'm just wondering how much is everyone stockpileing school supplies for there kids for the year sence the prices are so cheap for supplies.. I have 4 kids and this would be the first year of me stockpiling school supplies..i'm just wondering what a good amount of each item would be good to last all year long... glue, pencils, note books, crayons, etc... |

I was so stocked up last year that I really didn't need to buy anything for this year, but I did because of all the .01, .05, and .10 deals.

We homeschool and go through a TON. Even if we didn't I'd still get a lot because we'd use them...all my kids like to draw; that makes 5 cent note books and 1 cent pencils priceless!

I bought a ton, but my oldest daughter had two friends over yesterday and I gave them each a big stack and there's a neighbor girl who I plan to give a bunch to as well, so in the end I think my stockpile will be severely depleted when my own three get through stuffing their bags. ![]() I'll buy a bit more of the .01, .05 and .10 stuff and then hope for some good deals on clearance. The two friends still have the backpacks I gave them last year, so I'll just keep all the kids in mind when I go and see clearance stuff. I quite literally can never have too much stockpile'd, I know too many kids. |

I always buy extra crayons and markers. I have three little kids and they love to color and make projects. This year I was smart and stocked up on the glue and glue sticks because those seem to go so quick. I will have to check out the rest.

I don't have anyone in school. I did stock up on the pens because as a nurse I am constantly writing at work. people are forever " borrowing " pens and forgetting to return them. I had q's for the $1.00 off 2 bic sticks pens and found them on sale for 2 10 ct. pks./$1.00, so I got 22, or 23 pks for free. I also caught the notebook paper on sale for $0.19 per 300 sheets and bought a dozen. Envelopes were on sale for 8 boxes for $1.00 and I god 16 boxes. ( It was an unadvertised sale, I think because they were an off brand.... Elmers was on sale for $0.05 per bottle and I stocked up on that. Scotch tape was on sale for 3/$1.00 and I got 6 rolls I believe. I don't use them at Christmas but I do lots of q trading and envelope mailing and like to secure the larger bundles with tape. I guess that was about it. |

I'm a teacher, so my closet looks a little ridiculous right now! I can't wait to load up my car and take it to my classroom so I can reclaim space in my closet at home! ... that being said, I didn't do any hardcore stockpiling of anything except the folders (100) and notebooks (50) which I distribute to my class (I have 3 classes, so 40 kids) and use for myself throughout the year. I probably should have gotten more of those bad boys!

We stockpiled on the mechanical pencils at Wags because at .05 per 5 you can't beat that deal. We picked up 35 packs. With the free Bic pens via using coupons I stockpiled on those, also the .09 cent pens at Wags. I don't think we will need pens now for another 5 years.
