Zoo's are always fun and they will be worn out after the end of the day. Also aquarium's are fun too and most of those have a/c if you would like to say out of of the heat. Water parks & Science museum's also come to mind. You may find something close to you listed on this site: http://www.mdisfun.org/home/index.asp HTH's & have fun!

The Norfolk/VA Beach area might be fun for you if you haven't been - they have an aquarium, zoo (haven't been there), the whole Nautalis (spelling) thing - I think that has a big ship you can go on - not sure though 'cause my boys are too little for stuff like that. I'm sure you can get info on the web... They also might like Lauray Caverns/Natural Bridge in the Stanton, VA area, again, I'm sure you can find info on the web. |

Wow, there are so many great things to do in Maryland....Chesapeake Bay is awesome, Annapolis is sooo cool, Baltimore is full of lots to do...and you can always go to DC--so many patriotic things to see, but also check out Gallaudet University-the campus is gorgeous and lots of great history there. I don't know what part of the state you are in, but there are also lots of great camp sites in Maryland. I'd choose the Bay area over just about any where on Earth, but that's just my personal opinion. |

How close are you to DC? Back in March, we took my 4 yr old to the Air&Space Museum -- definitely a boy's heaven! And there are 2 Air&Space Museums in DC: one near the airport; the other near Museum of Natural History

My youngest son isnt too big of a museum fan, we once took him to the dino. one and when he walked in all he saw was the woolymamouth and ran back out he was like 2 then but we tried again a year or 2 later and still wasnt budging. Maybe now we can try again is the space one in the same area in DC as the Dino. one (thats what my son calls it).

Thanks for all the ideas. We went to DC for the day, even took the light rail saved on time looking for parking. The boys all decided they wanted to stay here and go swimming so DH and I had just us time. IT WAS NICE!
