My back tends to break out in the summer. Not sure why but if I wash my back with dawn dish soap it helps them clear up.

I have an abundance of dish soap from both CVS and Wags so I thought I would share in case others do.

While you are starting this, how much Dawn do people use in their laundry (small load, large load).

The dawn is really good at cutting grease so I guess it does the same w/ your skin oils.

Marbear- I use 1 cup Dawn to 7 cups water in an old, laundry bottle. When I wash, I put 1 capful of the mixture in the wash. I usually only wash extra large loads, but I never see "bubbles". Also, BTW, I hang clothes and they seem softer with the Dawn than with laundry detergent. Not sure why??? HTH!

I also herd that Dawn is a good flea bath for animals. Only use a bit though b/c animal's skin can be sensitive. I haven't tried this myself, just heard about it.

Dawn in it's diluted form should be ok for the face and good for acne. I think they use it on birds or something when they are cleaning up oil spills. And it "takes grease out of your way"

If your dog has fleas it will make the fleas go to their bellies so you can see to get them off.... Im not sure why, but this really does work, I use a very small amount on my chihuahua because somehow she got fleas at my sisters a couple weeks ago..

You do have to be careful and only do it once in a while because it can irritate the skin.

My vet told us to bathe our dog in Ivory dish soap. It does a great job getting rid of the fleas and it is very gentle on the skin. We were originally going to take her in for a flea dip when we first brought her home from the pound (and she was flea infested). The vet couldn't take her right away but let us in on the secret that is all they use(Ivory Dish soap). She hasn't had anymore flea problems but it is still all we use(for 3 years).

I put dawn on my DH's greasy clothes. Really gets allot of the oil and grease out.

I use Dawn on "water spots" or grease spots on any of our clothing and just put a dot of it on the spot and throw it in the wash with the rest of the clothes and my regular laundry soap and they come out spot free. LOVE it!
