Anyone want to share pics of their kids playroom or bedrooms or nurseries?

When did you turn their room into a big girl or big boy room?

dd (almost 4) still has her nursery theme in her room and we were hoping to not have to change it in case we have another one but really I can't wait for that or her room will never get changed.

So I am trying to figure out do I just redo it or wait until she is old enough to really decide what she wants.

I have to take another pic of her room because our computer crashed a while back and we were able to retrieve our pics but haven't put them back on the computer.

Ha ok I will do it, but Gavin's room is nothing fancy. We were broke when we redid his room, so I did alot of things myself.

OK...this was Ben's nursery at our old house. They were already loaded on Shutterfly...LOL. I'll have to get some of his Big Boy room now!

Hey don't forget (those of you who it pertains to) to answer my question about changing their rooms out from nursery to big room.

We took the easy way out and just changed Ben's when we moved! LOL....he was 2.

For you, that's tough. Is the nursery theme gender neutral? Is there another room that you could turn into her "big girl room" and use the nursery as an office, etc. until/if you have another?

Is there a way you could pack away all of the decor but not repaint and turn it into a big girl theme?

Just some ideas!

When we adopted our dd from Russia we didn't specify a gender and we did the nursery before we even got our referral (I am OCD) so we did a nuetral room.

We had to go reverse, Joey's Big Boy room became the nursery and he got a new room. Helped with the change of a new arrival too since he was able to redo his room how ever he wanted. But his old room, I painted the walls and ceiling blue with clouds, put in a green carpet and painted tall grass all around the room about 2 ft up the wall, then added a HUGE 6 ft dinosaur cling on the wall and made trees out of the post of his bunk bed. So his room was dinosaur themed. When Haden came, all I had to do was take the dinosaur off and "POOF!" a neutral nursery. It worked well!

His room is still like this... and he is 7. We decided this past weekend to move him to another room and re-paint that room to be a 'bigger boy' room. I can't bring myself to paint over these wall yet -- thus the reason he's changing rooms instead of re-doing this one.

My mom and sister did it.
The only thing I did was sponge paint the grass under Horton and the Lorax.

My son was in the baby room scheme (ABC-123 primary colors with bears) until he was 11. He could of cared less.

Aww, so cute! I wanted Elmo on my sons walls but never got it done.

Those are all great!! I give props for those that took the time for the dr suess room. We did 2 different color rooms and that was h**l. I have to clean to get pics. plus it isn't all up anymore, but it is Dallas Cowboy's theme. He will have to deal with this for a while. It was a lot of work and I don't like to paint and neither does hubby.
