Does one certain item prompt a coupon to print from a catalina machine?

I think it varies depending on the store and how it is programmed...

Check the ads for the stores.. sometimes it will say... buy 3 of product X get this.. other times if you buy one brand.. a competitor brand Q will print...

oh and sometimes it is tied to spending history on your rewards cards (kroger card)

I know at Kroger everytime I bought Beech Nut baby food I would get Enfamil catalinas....

And like lhart said it also seems to be competitors of what you are buying.....

Me too. When I was buying GoodStart for my son at A&P I would always get a catalina for Enfamil. Same for Beechnut - I always get a printout for Gerber. Tonight I bought Mott's for Tots juice and actually got a coupon for.....Mott's for Tots juice! I couldn't believe it! It's so incredibly random I can't figure it out.

Most Catalina's are backed by Manufacturers - not the store. Even the OYNO cats are funded by a mfr.

Unfortunately, if it says at all, it tells you what prompted it AFTER it prints!

Best bet is to watch what others post!

I've been getting Purina catalinas, didn't know about them until I bought 4 dog treats & the first one printed!

I mostly purchase huggies at Kroger and it prints pamper catalinas. I always buy juicy juici and it always prints motts for tots catatlinas. I've only bought kibbles and bits and I always get some other brand dog food catalinas. The last time I used pamper catalina I received another pampers but it wasnt the $3 it was only for $1.

In the ad for my store it will say "buy XXX and get $$ coupon off your next order~printed at the register".
