| Chili Mix, Chili, and White (Chicken) Chili Chili Mix 10 "packets" (from Marnie's Kitchen Shortcuts) 1-1/8 c. flour 3/4 c. onion flakes 3 Tbsp. chili powder 2 Tbsp. salt 1 Tbsp. cumin 1 Tbsp. sugar 2 tsp. cayenne pepper 1/2 tsp. garlic powder Mix and store in airtight container. Chili 4 servings (from Marnie's Kitchen Shortcuts) 3 Tbsp. chili mix 1 lb. ground beef, browned 15-16 oz. tomato sauce 1 can kidney or chili beans, with liquid 1/2 c. water Mix and bring to boil in saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes, stirring frequently. NOTE: Use the chili beans if you want it really spicy. White Chili 4 servings (my own recipe) 3 Tbsp. chili mix 1 c. chicken, cooked & shredded 2 c. chicken broth 1 can white beans, with liquid 1 Tbsp. flour 1/2 c. water Mix and bring to boil in saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes, stirring frequently. NOTE: Beans can be any white beans - cannellini, Great Northern, navy, etc. |
