So I went in expecting to pay $1.78 OOP. The Bloom on Plank Rd in Fredericksburg does not give overages now. Last week it did, now it doesn't. The prices were raised up so high it would have been cheaper to shop at Foodlion, and not have the coupons doubled!!! I saw things there priced $3.00 and $4.00 higher than they were at FL! Ridiculous! It is upseting, but eye opening for sure. Just a heads up of what might be coming to bloom near you.

I believe that it does state in their coupon policy that "No 'cash back' will be given for coupons of any kind." While this doesn't specifically state that they don't give overage as long as you have something to eat it, it could be taken to mean that they don't give overage on coupons. Perhaps your store has taken a new interpretation of this policy?

I believe you are right. Even knowing the coupon policy can be interpreted differently, I still cannot believe that they can raise the prices that much on SD day. I talked to 2 different employees, on different occasions, and they confirmed it. That they jack the prices up just for SD day. Now a $0.05- $1.00 upcharge I could handle, but $3-$4 is not acceptable.

That is a little crazy. I guess I never noticed since I've been shopping from the ad for most of SD day and I tell them if a price doesn't match as advertised...

i am done as well. They rang up 3 different items that were suppose to be on sale as the wrong price with it in their favor of $7 difference. When I brought it up that it has happened 5 times they said" yeah we know it happens all the time. "

Here's what i discovered. If the original shelf price is less than the doubled coupon amount, the coupon gets doubled to shelf price. If the original shelf price (not sale price) is over the doubled coupon amount, you will get an overage. For example, I bought Friskies treats for cats. Shelf price $1.79. I had a $1 coupon, doubled. Took 1.79off price. IF the treats were originally over $2.00 and were on SALE for $1.79, I would have gotten $200 off, giving me a .21 overage. Hope this helps. By the way, I noticed the prices also. I had pepsi coupons for the cubes which were 6.99 in the morning. Because of the 20 coupon rule, I made a second trip after work and they raised the price. This was at the Locust Grove Bloom. |

If I am not mistaken, all Bloom stores are going to become Food Lion now. Our Bloom is transferring over the end of July.

Another thing they did. They pulled items that had great coupons. The night before they pulled Smart Balance Milk off the shelf. This is a product that they regularly carry. Day after SD's it's back. Happened with a few other items that had good value coupons the last time they had them here. I find this practice to be offensive and repugnant and I lost respect for the chain. I only shop there if absolutely necessary.

| I don't believe that is true for all Bloom supermarkets. I think it is only happening in certain areas.
