So I've been pretty good with my couponing and keeping our grocery bill to $50.00 or less a week ( aside from some triples, which I make up for by buying almost nothing the next weeks) I have been starting the Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace workshop to get completely out of debt. We started in Feb with $31,200 in debt.. Now, in April ( 3rd to be exact) we are $25,900 in debt. Sound like alot, but $20K is our Helo and we don't have a mortgage ( we pay $230.00 a month for a private mort )
Our goal..
May1st.. have another CC paid off..
Dec 1st No cc debt
2012..... No HELO

Any extras goes to CC and then remodeling our house- desperate for siding and kitchen work! By 2012 I'll be able to get to work FT while the kids are in school... and then I'll be putting 75% of my income into a separate retirement account ( aside from my husband's- safety first lol)
Wondering if any AFC'ers are dealing with this debt issue and how they are going about it. My DH refused to give up expensive cells/ internet service/ Dish.. unless we can find a great deal without breaking the bank.. $80 for TV is Crazy!!!
