Help I am getting discourge using coupons!

Posted 06-05-2011 at 09:32 PM by melissazr0712

I just started couponing and its been about a month and I have only been able to save a little here in there on my products. I have been able to get extreme deals. I need some advice how do you super save? I get the inserts but don't really see sales out there were its worth buying products that I normally don't get. How do people get stuff for free I really don't see that happening. I live in a state that does not do double coupons and everything is so expensive I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Anyone live in IL and super save on their grocery bill?? I don't want to stop couponing I like it and it keeps me busy!!!

I too am fairly new to couponing. I started out just buying a few things here and there, and still don't have a large stockpile like many of the people who have been at it for a while do. I usually stock up on dish liquid, bodywash, and my newest obsession, toothpaste. Don't become discouraged. In the last two or three months I have managed to save right around 300.00, but that includes my store reward card savings at Kroger as well. I purchased a binder and everything, but some people make it seem so easy to go out and purchase things for very little. I haven't found many deals like this, other than the Carefree liners or gain dish liquid that had a $1/1 Q. I just really wanted to let you know to keep your chin up and that even though it gets frustrating sometimes, it will all pay off. Just keep your eye on the AFC forums for the stores you shop at, and that is in all honesty, where I have found many of my deals.

    Have a great day!

I get a lot of coupons from ebay. You are bidding on the seller's time and costs for collecting, clipping and sorting...so it is legal. Make sure your seller posts that on their listing. I got 15 q's for $2 off meat, 10q's for free country time lemonade (all flavors) 20q's for carefree pantyliners (which come to free at Walmart if you buy the small size. I look for something that I want to stock up on, and start bidding! I buy a sunday paper and get the mailers, but i mostly use ebay. They sell in lots of 10,15 or 20 a lot of times. I also use hip2save website for a list of the deals for each store and also totally target for info on free giftcards!
