This menu, we have a few roll overs from last week due to late night dad cooking and Halloween parties. We skipped a few nights of dinners but that's ok because I still have the ingredients on hand and they will easily roll over to my menu for this week!

I'll be sharing my menu and giving you an example of my shopping list along with my cost breakdown for the entire 2 weeks menu budget.
  1. Taco Stew
  2. Sausage & Potatoes
  3. Pot Pie
  4. Sausage Crock Pot
  5. Tacos *
  6. Beer

Night 7: Italian Ramen Skillet

This isn't so much of a review as I'm just sharing one of my all time favorite cheap recipes with you that has an option of being meatless which is how I'll post it since this is how I most freqently make it. This was a recipe I modified from meat years ago when I became a vegetarian, I like it better this way. I like this recipe because you almost always have all the ingredients on hand and it costs very little yet it is super filling.

Night 6: Hoppin' John

This is another hillbilly housewife recipe, however I modified it a bit to make it in the crock pot. I love having a delicious home cooked meal at the end of the day that I only had to put 20 minutes into in the morning. It's warm and yummy and ready to go when I'm ready for dinner. I know that certain banks have a program where they will round your purchases to a dollar and transfer that change to your savings account and that's great.. but you're going to have to claim taxes on that interest rate at the end of the year. I'm also beginning to get more and more paranoid of 'the man' as our economy worsens and our world as a whole becomes more and more unstable both socially and economically....

Night 5: Turkey & Broccoli Pie

This is a recipe I found under my silverware sorting tray. Why was it under there? Well it lives under ther with a stack of many other recipes that I shove under there when I don't have any more room in my recipe box and can't stand to see them tacked to the fridge or on the counter anymore. I haven't made this one before so when I looked it over and saw it was relatively cheap due to having all the ingredients already on hand, I decided...
