Pinterest Review: Coconut French Toast

Posted 05-28-2013 at 12:17 PM by medic2midwife (Couponing on a medic's dime)

What can I say about this recipe? Holy fancy breakfast batman! I was looking for something different to break up the bacon and eggs circuit that had been making rounds in my kitchen when I stumbled across this doozie I pinned almost a year ago. The texture of the toast is quite different from traditional french toast and has a much more savory and gourmet flavor! The ingredients are cheap enough and often things you'll already have on hand in your pantry.

I found the coconut extract...

Oh Pinterest

Posted 05-28-2013 at 12:03 PM by medic2midwife (Couponing on a medic's dime)

Lately I've been in a bit of a I-don't-know-what-to-make-for-dinner funk. I've gotten away from my frugality as I've been using stockpile items and have not been paying much attention to my budget. Recently, I've decided to tap into the glory that is pinterest only to come out wanting. New Creation: Vegetable Curry and Rice

Posted 05-27-2012 at 02:30 PM by medic2midwife (Couponing on a medic's dime)

My neighbor is a lovely gal who happens to be of Indian orgin, having hated curry my entire adult life, she has completely and radically changed my opinon, as well- she has inspired me to try my hand at Indian cooking. I love the foods of cultures that are rich in spices and creative with the selected ingredients. Brazilian is my favorite, Greek second, Moroccan next... and now Indian. Threw this dinner together today so I would have a meal ready when I got back from couponing. It smelled so good...

Review:Potato & Black-Eyed Pea Soup

Posted 11-07-2011 at 06:46 PM by medic2midwife (Couponing on a medic's dime)

Really happy with this recipe! My whole family went back for seconds, including my picky husband who basically hates everything and anything I cook. It was filling and easy and I converted it to a crock-pot recipe. What I like about this one is you can make a lot to go around with few ingredients that also happen to be pretty cheap.

2 quarts chicken, turkey, or vegetable stock (I used the stuff I made by boiling down our Thanksgiving...
