WOW! Congrats to her. If she's anything like I was as a new driver...I'd buy a box of hair dye to cover the new grey!

I gave my mom a lot of grey hair while she was riding with me!

I have plenty of hair dye on hand as my hair is starting to show some grey. She hasn't wanted to go out on the roads yet to test out her new permit. I paid $160 for a person to give her 8 hours of behind the wheel driving, yet they don't want her until she is comfortable behind the wheel. Ummmm....why am I paying you to teach my child then when she will already know how to drive by the time you get her? DUH!

My 15 year old DD is just reading the drivers manual now so she can go get her permit. In Utah, they have to have their permit for 6 months before they can get thier license. So, she is taking the test with no driving experience, no drivers ed and no knowledge on the laws. Hope she can pass it!! Then my fun will begin too. They are require to have like 80 hours of in town driving and 10 hours on the highway before they can even attempt to take the driving test.

Michelle...that is the same in MN. Though they have to have a class and then take the permit test. They have to have at least 6 months of driving and then like 8 hours of behind the wheel.

She is really nervous and she hates the gas pedal and loves the break.
