3/16/2010 - Aprons for Sale! Contest below!

In my free time, I whipped up a few children's aprons and I just listed them for sale on AFC: Cute for Easter Baskets - Children's Aprons.
It has been really windy here, so Jimmy and I went for a walk yesterday and picked up 1000 pine cones. (I make pinecone wreaths, too.) I didn't actually count them, but we had three re-usable Target bags full, and it sure seemed like 1000 when we were washing them in the bathtub. The boys were so helpful! Mike dropped the pinecones into the tub 10 at a time, I washed them, and Jimmy laid them on the towel to dry. We drop them in 10 at a time because they close up when wet, and I can't wash grass, sand, and bugs out of them when they are closed.
Then we baked them in the oven to kill any remaining critters, and they are now drying on the patio. See, I told you there are a ton! Hmmmm, I feel a contest coming on! Who can guess the correct number of pinecones? The closest guess by Sunday night, 3/21, wins an envelope of coupons! To guess, just post a comment on this blog entry.

We also flew the KITE I got on clearance at Target last year for $1.48 over the windy weekend. FUN!

Good morning, Ladies,
Thank you for all the great guesses and for your participation! There were 287 pinecones on the table, plus I threw away about 10 that were too crushed while I was washing them, so I had about 300 in total.
ilovecouponstoo is my winner - please PM me your address and I'll send your envelope.
Have a great day!

I tried doing that once, thought it would be fun....learned the hard way that I'm allergic to pine sap!
