The first year of Couponing!
I recently celebrated my one year anniversary with coupons!!!
The Do's and Don'ts, Ups and Downs
DO - keep a small stash of coupons (like a coupon clutch) in the car at all times.
DON'T - use a shoebox in the car, which can be dump over and scattered easily
UPS - 3 ring binders that zip closed are helpful and you can buy the inserts at most office supply stores
DOWNS - an unorganized binder will cause you to miss sales.
Here are my tricks:
1) look through inserts weekly
2) immediately clip Qs that I know I will use
3) add those Qs to the 3 ring binder ASAP
4) (Personal choice, but not necessary) Cut and sort remaining Qs into a shoebox for later use or filling ISO and train envies
5) use coupon clutch for dedicated shopping trips. If browsing, take a pen and paper to jot down sales that you see and then go home to check your binder and shoebox for matching Qs
