Am I the only one who does not like Rite Aid?

I am a huge couponer and will do every deal in town if I can! However, I will not step into Rite-Aid unless it is absolutely necessary!
I am a huge fan of the CVS ECB program and even enjoy the WAGS RR program. But RA's SCR is not worth my time. The one time that I did do it, mine was denied even though I purchased exactly what was advertised. Then it was such a hastle to try to get the rebate approved that I just gave up. Then I had issues with the use of coupons, with each store having a different policy. But I think the worst thing about RA is their SCR program. Why wait for a check in the mail when I can go across the street to a CVS or WAGS and get mine instantly.
So, am I really missing anything by not shopping at RA?

We do not have a CVS in my neck of the woods (central Oregon).
As of late I am a BIG Rite Aid fan. I used a gift card given to me to snatch up $41.00 of free cold/allergy products about two weeks ago -- from their REBATE program.
Yesterday I snagged free light bulbs and a free bottle of Vaseline Intensive Care extra-pricey lotion ($6.99 retail - 2.00 in-store-savings - $3.99 rebate - $1.00 outside coupon). They've really simplified the process.
I simply enter the receipt info. (store #, register #, transaction #) on-line and it saves all of my receipts. Then, at the end of the monthly rebate period, I go back and request my check. 2-3 weeks later it's in my mailbox.
My plan is to simply keep recycling the same money every month!
But my $50.00 investment (actually free because the card was a gift) will be the gift that keeps on giving all year! I figure that I can actually increase the savings to over $300.00 a year in this way. And if I ever get tired of FREEBIES (not!!) I can simply cash the last check and not return.
In addition, at my local store, one of the employees has been dubbed the "the rebate queen". I brought an item back because, although it was supposed to be a freebie, the on-line system wasn't accepting it. Her answer? She simply refunded my purchase price and told me to enjoy the item on them!!
That's the kind of store I can deal with.Posted 10-31-2009 at 05:57 PM by barcelonaisa
