Now that I coupon, I decided why not do the same for clothing, accessories too ? I went to one of my favorite malls to spend some of my birthday money, but wanted to try out my saving skills as well.
OOP : $152
Saved : $162.12 on my trip.
At one popular clothing store I paid $41 for $110 worth of clothes !!
Here are some of my tips to help you score big at the mall .
Sign up for loyalty cards. For example,
Sephora's Beauty Insider gives you points for each trip that you can use for deluxe samples and other goodies. On your birthday they send you a card for a free deluxe sample of an item!!
The Body Shop. The Loyalty card is $10 but you get 10% off every time you shop.
Check your receipts !! Places like Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works etc have surveys printed at the bottom and after you do the survey you can get $10 off a $XX purchase.
Coupon sites. Not just for IP's , you can look under the retail printables. Always a good place to find deals at popular stores.
Texting. Hollister and Gilly Hicks give out coupons at their stores for 20% off your next purchase (usually has dates on it) but if you text your email to the number you can get a 30% off coupon to print !!
Facebook. Friend your favorite stores and get coupons.
Pull up the malls website. This is a two'fer deal. You can search the directory find your favorite stores and see what events or savings they have going on.
You can also pick out the stores you want to visit and facebook or look on the coupon sites to see if there are any coupons.
I did this and I found $15 off a $30 purchase for Express. I was able to get a $50 for $19
Mall savings clubs. Go to Guest Services. The outlet mall here has a savings club to get you savings. Sometimes you can find coupon booklets for the stores and eateries as well.
I love being a savvy shopper not only at the grocery store but the mall too. Nothing is better than strutting through the store in a new pair of shoes that you paid half price for !!
