Have you guys seen this new fuel perks program that Bilo is running? It comes up when I go to my part of mybilo.com, so I am not sure if it is at all stores or not. Apparently, the more you spend, the more you get off a gallon(s) of gas. Here's a link, but remember, this is from my area so check and see if your area is doing it.

It's in my area and I am very excited about it!! I got my new card this morning! I need to research some more on it, because I'm not sure if the $50 is before or after Q's. I would assume before. If not, we will all be in trouble!!

Just got it in this area, has apple's on the new card. Yes it's $50 before Q's, that's about all I know. I need to read up on it more than I have.

That's great! I remember when they did the gas tokens a couple years ago. Each time $35 (I think) was spent in one transaction, the customer earned a gas token. Once a certain number were collected, we took them to bilo for a $25 gas card. Those tokens were earned on $35 before qs.

We have had this in Charleston for a while now. Basically, your "account" adds $.05 off each gallon of gas for every $50 you spend. You always have a minimum of $.05 off and I think you can max at $1.05 off. You then take your "special" new Bilo card to Sunoco (in Charleston...I think that upstate is using a different gas brand, but I assume everything else will be the same) and slide it in the pump just as if you were paying for your gas. It will tell you have much off you have accumulated per gallon. You pump gas, pay with credit card or inside and your Bilo Fuel Perks reward is reset at $.05 off. The only real thing to watch for is that your reward is only good for 30 days I think and then it resets....my mom just let $.45 off per gallon expire. UGh!

Basically, I use my rewards about once a month so that they have time to build up, but not enough time to reset. I also only use them when I know I am running on empty so I can take full advantage cause once you use them you start over.

Wow, thanks so much for all the info! Does the $50 need to be in one transaction to get the .05 off per gallon or do the totals accumulate until a person has spent $50? Thanks so much for the explanation!

Correct...it is a rolling or accumulating total. How much you need to reach the next $.05 off is listed on the end of your reciept along with how much $$ off you have earned. It is a good program, IMO. Like I said earlier, I only use my $$ off earnings about once a month to let them build and I usually have between $.25 and $.40 off per gallon. Makes a difference! So I, and someone else also, both stated we were told that the $50 was before coupons. However, I have been to bilo 3 times since I got my new card, and I just paid attention to my receipt where it says how much I have accumulated towards my first $.05 off, and it is only giving me the price after coupons. Can someone else verify this? My mom said she "thought" she read in the booklet that it was after coupons too, but I had 2 BiLo workers tell me if was before.

YUCK! I hope it is before Qs! Honestly, and I am not greedy, I think it should be before Qs because they do get reimbursed for the Qs we use. Maybe because they double and don't get all that back? Hmmmm.... I hope someone knows. I haven't made it to Bilo yet to sign up.

The fuel perks are actually good for the month you earn them and for the next three months. So if you earn them mid-month, you have the rest of the month and then 3 more months to use them.

I am not sure exactly how they figure out your rewards. The other day my receipt looked like this:

Sub-total before savings: 248.01
Your Savings: 175.11
Sub-total after savings: 72.90
Total: 76.48

Bonuscard Savings: 122.44
Coupon Savings: 49.82
Extra coupon savings: 2.85
Total Savings: 175.11

I can't figure out how I earned .15 with 15.36 toward the next reward.

I still haven't found a definate answer on the before coupon or after coupon, but I tried to get gas for the first time today. I go to Sphinx, and pay cash at the pump. But it didn't give me any money off, even though I had scanned my bonus card. The cashier at Sphinx said they have been told to send all questions to BiLo. So I went to Bilo and the manager said that if you are paying cash, you have to go into the store and pay, because you are already getting a discount at the pump by paying cash, so the cashier inside of Sphinx apparently has to do something to make sure you get both discounts. The Bilo manager, who by the way, was very nice, said they are trying to fix it so that you can pay cash at the pump and still get the discount, but as of right now, the gas pumps aren't set up like that.

Virginia, you may still get it. Apparently, it was in SC in the lower part of the state for a little while before we got it here in the upstate. Maybe they are phasing it in from one area to the next.

I am thinking it is before because I got credit towards the deal the other day for a good bit more than I spent oop, but I am not positive. I lost my receipt before I could sit down and look over it to figure it all out. I am going to pay close attention the next time!

I will also have to pay more attention to. I have heard now that it is after any Bilo coupons, but before any manufacture coupons. I haven't been to Bilo in the last week though, but next time I do go, I will definately see if I can figure it out!

The amount towards the gas is after the discounts you get using your bi-lo bonus card but before coupons. My husband and I were told that last night.

Okay, that makes sense! I tried adding my totals and discounts different ways to figure it out on my own, but it gets confusing when you have totals that carry over from a previous trip going toward your next reward. Glad to know its before q's! Thanks for filling us in!

From the looks of this receipt it is after Qs. You spent over $150 so you got 3 $.05 rewards. Your total must have been $15.36 away from another $50 level. The program is actually very simple. for every $50 you spend after Qs u get $.05 off per gallon of gas. In the Upstate it is Spinx & select Shell Stations. Spinx has fuel perk signs up. U must scan the large card with the magnetic strip to redeem rewards. I don't know if there is a cap as it was announced on the radio today that some people have paid less than a $1 per gallon. HTH!

I actually think that would be the perks on the total before Qs, because the fuel perk account had to show $150 in spending to add .15, and the total after Qs was only $76.xx. Does that make sense?
