I put this on another thread but I thought I would go ahead and post this so everyone saw it.

I talked to Bi-lo's corporate office the other day and here is their coupon policy.

Every Bi-lo takes all competitors coupons even the Walgreens $5 off $25! They wont price match. If you run into a problem at a store that wont here is a number that you can tell them to call! It is not under a store managers discretion to take or not take competitor coupons!

I got this earlier about internet coupons and adding the bonus card to cellfire.com and shortcuts.com
No internet coupon limitations here yet, but spoke with someone who was
aware of the coupon sites, etc. There has to be a mag strip on the
Bonuscard before that function can be used, which we are actually adding
soon to your Bonuscard as well, so stay tuned.

He was not shocked about the policy at Kroger on Internet coupons. He
stated that there is a lot of fraud on internet coupons, but that the
industry is working on controls that will limit that, again, stay tuned.

And what does a "competitor" mean? I realize walgreens isn't a grocery store so that means any other stores coupons? Like Dollar general specific coupons, Rite aid specific coupons,,,,,,and then you can combine them with manufactures coupons as well??

Yes they will take rite aid specific coupons and other competitors. They wont let you stack coupons unless its a Bi-lo coupon and then another coupon.
Dont hesitate to ask me any other questions! My father works for the corporate office so its easy to get more information.

Thanks for the info. We do most of our grocery shopping at Bi-Lo, so it's great to know in advance that even the manager can't deny the competitor's coupons.

Here is an update!!

My dad called me last night asking me some questions about coupons and why sometimes I shop at Kroger over Bi-lo. So I started to explain the deals and how I could load coupons on to my card so he stopped me and said you can do what?? So I tell him about shortcuts.com and cellfire.com and he made me email him the sites! He is taking them to his boss!!!

Also another update Bi-lo does not have a limit on internet coupons that you can use. Since Kroger is limiting them to 2 my trips there will become alot less frequent! My Bi-lo trips however will be getting MORE frequent!

I would also love a copy from the corporate office about Bi-lo taking competitors coupons. I always have problems at my Bi-lo. I live in SC and shop at Bi-lo on Pelham Rd in Greenville. If anyone else shops there do u have problems as well....just wondering

I tried to use a $5 off $30 from Food lion there a couple of weeks ago and they would not accept it. I emailed cust.svc., not complaining, just asking them if they would accept it. I actually received a phone call from the local district. He stated that they normally did not take competitors q's but they would this one time and he would contact the store manager and let him know to ok it. I just thanked him and said no, that would not be necessary, I was just asking what the policy was, I didn't want to make a special deal for me. Well, the next thing I knew, I received a $10 Bilo gift card in the mail!! I was thrilled to say the least!

Yes, we accept internet coupons upon approval of the store manager.
Unfortunately, we have been hit with a number of fraudulent coupon usage
issues, and we have to be very careful regarding redemption.

Regarding competitor coupons. We do accept competitor coupons at
different times of the year, but not, always, chainwide. Yes; it is best
to ask your local BI-LO Store Manager if they are running a correct
promotion involving competitor coupons.

found out today that my local bi-lo has a coupon policy of no more than 9 coupons for identical items...thought I'd share...that's alot better than H.T.'s no more than 3 policy!

Bi-lo in sc only will double up to 10 identical coupons per transaction. Some will take competitors and some want. They leave it up to the mgrs.

My Bi-lo is great about doubling up to and including $0.60 coupons every day. They just recently stopped accepting competitor coupons. ALso, if a coupon expires within the week I am using the coupon, the manager will let me use it. HOWEVER, you must ask your store manager.

The Super Bi-Lo on Fairview in Simpsonville will take competitors coupons without hassle. Drug stores or anything. I even used a Babies R Us coupon for diapers! All the manager said was as long as you are buying your groceries here we'll take care of you. If you live close enough Fairview Road is worth the trip.
