I was wondering if anyone knew about this advertisement (it was in the big y ad and I saw it in the coupons this weekend) and if this scenario would work?

$10.00 --4 x ziploc sandwich bags
$ 2.50 -- Disposer care
$ 2.50 -- Dishwasher magic
$ 2.50 -- Fantastik
$ 2.50 -- Shout
-------
$20.00
-$5.00 automatically?
-$2.00 2x $1.00/2 ziploc
-$1.00 Disposer Care
-$1.00 Dishwasher Magic
-$1.00 Fantanstik
-$1.00 Shout
-$3.00 3 x doublers
--------
$6.00?

I don't shop big y enough to know how their deals work in different cases and my worry on this is that it won't automatically take off the $5 because of other coupons. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm pretty clueless!!!

Not too sure and was wondering the same myself! I tried one of the Big Y get a coupon for $ off your next purchase and it did NOT work b/c I had used coupons to reduce the total amount. Anyone else know if it is off the before cpupon price???

I just went in tonight hoping to "cash in " on this deal and I learned (when my $5 OYNO cat did NOT print) that they (Big Y) calculate the $20.00 AFTER q's. I was bummed, but still got some good deals.

i went last night and did the $5/20 deal twice. I did it in 2 transactions because the ad doesn't say if there is a limit and the cashier didn't know either.

$ 7.50 - 3 Fantastik Sprays
$ 5.00 - 2 Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner
$ 7.50 - 3 Shout Stain Remover
- 3.00 - 3 $1/1 fantastik q's
- 2.00 - 2 $1/1 scrubbing bubbles q's
- 3.00 - 3 $1/1 shout q's
- 3.00 - 3 dollar doublers
- 5.00 - save $5 when you spend 20
$ 4.00 OOP for 8 items!

I've never tried one of these deals myself. The ad often says (although this one didn't, I'm pretty sure) after q's, but I've wondered what the register would actually do.
