I have been travelling and out of the loop. Went to Big Y last night and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the sign! They must have been losing business to change their policy like this.  You can change your preferences on the shopping list to doubles up to 0.99 or on weeks when dollar doublers are in the flier to double up to $1.00. I put two GREAT deals for the week in the shopping list -- method soap and over the moon milk.

I had sent them an email back when they announced they were stopping about a yr ago and never got a reply- was tempted to change to another store but the store is so convienent to my house that I stayed. I am happy to get the doubles back!!

Maybe they saw a jump in their sales with the double dollars they keep doing and that unlimited triple deal in MA a while back and realized that they could compete better by doubling....

I was glad to see that they are doubling again...i have been doing most of my shopping at Stop and Shop lately because they do the doubles up to .99 which can make for some great deals and since they take BIGY's dollar doublers as well and they have the gas rewards they have been getting the bulk of my business. Now that they are doubling again i will definitely be paying closer attention to the fliers...if you combine the doubling with the CRT $/$$ it could make for some good deals.
