I heard from one of the managers in my local Big Y that Big Y is going to be getting rid of some of the coins... They are going to only have one or two of the colors. Times are tight for stores too ... The manager said it was mostly because they don't get rembursed from the distributor of the product for giving out the discounts with the coins, so they are losing money. I did notice awhile back they ended their daily specials at the prepared meals counter. They used to have a special every day there.

Yes, I heard they will only be giving out silver and gold coins and will be discontinuing the blue and red.

Maybe that explains why I only get SILVER coins at the Big Y. I use a SILVER coin & usually get it back during the same transaction.

I know I've accumulated several of the silver coins and I usually use at least 2 or 3 during my shopping trips. I always seems to be getting one back each time too.

I asked CS in the ludlow, Ma store about a month ago and she said no they will still have 4 colors. The only thing they are changing is she said they will now longer have the book/sheet that lists all the deals with coins. You can either look online or at he signs in the store. My mom hated this cause she does not have internet.

Now this CS lady might be clueless but we will see. Hate to see the coins go.

I just "won" a blue coin at the pharmacy yesterday. So they're still definitely giving them all out. HTH...

As of July 1st, they will not be taking the red and blue coins!! Only silver and gold will be available to use or win. See the link on their website for more information !!

Thanks! I never knew there was this feature to view the coin items on sale by color. Will need to use my blue and red coins (I don't have many!) before 7/1. Thanks again.

I only have silver...but I'm definitely going to get the word out....make sure my friends don't get stuck with some useless coins...

There is a page in this week's flyer with a list of what you can get with your red and blue coins (good through 7/1/09). Free demi-baguette with the red coin is calling my name! Has anyone tried the cinnamon coffee cake?
