Two people have mentioned what they love to use their coins for and I've never heard of those things at Big Y, so I thought I'd start a thread where we can share what we love to do with our coins, or new deals that are going on that are HOT.

Basically every time I'm at Big Y I'll get a small coffee with a silver coin. For a while they were free, now $0.30.

I NEED to hear about those slushies, and someone mentioned savory dip? Where in the store do you find these things and are they free or cheap?

This week I got a container of brownie bits free with a blue coin. These were absolutely delicious with a vanilla ice cream!

I mostly use mine for a 4 pack of muffins. Also pizza slices and seafood dinners for a quick bite. Pizza used to be free after coin, now there is a small charge. Same thing with the seafood dinners. Usually comes out to under $4 I believe for an $8-10 meal. It has been a while since I have bought either.

I heard from one of the managers in my local Big Y that Big Y is going to be getting rid of some of the coins... They are going to only have one or two of the colors. Times are tight for stores too ... The manager said it was mostly because they don't get rembursed from the distributor of the product for giving out the discounts with the coins, so they are losing money. I did notice awhile back they ended their daily specials at the prepared meals counter. They used to have a special every day there. Times are tough !

There must be a new pamphlet out -- small coffee with a silver coin is now $0.40 (earlier last year was FREE, then $0.30, now $0.40!). Has anyone seen the new pamphlet -- any deals?

i used a ton of silver coins on the claussen pickles a few weeks back...with q's i was getting them for like $1 a jar

I keep getting the reusable bags...sometimes I only go to Big Y to get things I can get for free with qs...so I add a bag for .78 with a coin to up my OOP. At a few of the stores, there's this all recycled yellow bag that's bigger than most....I love them, great for cereal, paper towels, and other bulky items....

Great ideas! I have used up my red coins on the free baguette at the bakery. Every time I go, they're out. I asked the bakery manager if I can substitute something and he let me. So if they're out, ask!

I need to use my 3 blue coins this month before they expire. Has any one tried the chocolate chip loaf/cake that is deep discounted with the blue coin?
