I was shocked, i laughed out loud, when I saw condoms on sell for 75% off at BL. I can't use them but I thought I would share. They were in the old Ekrerds stuff. maybe they were 90% off. i can't remember. BL has some crazy stuff there sometime, anyone else find anything funny there?

There are somethings I just would not buy at BL and that is one of them . That is almost as bad as the guy I saw the other day buying a pregnancy test at the Dollar Store. I love the Dollar and Discount Stores, but some things I just wouldn't buy from them. Thanks for the funny.

The Dollar Store pregnancy tests are wonderful and in my experience much more accurate then some of the expensive brands (and I took about 15 pregnancy tests every month for a year and a half).

Their ovulation tests are also very good. Seriously!

I love BL! Thats funny about the condoms I have never seen them there before.

I took 2 Dollar store cheapies and both were correct I saved myself at least 10.

I third or fourth the vote on the $ store preggo tests they are very accurate.

so BL gives out discounts because they sell returned items? is that how it works?

I think they buy closeouts or extras that stores won't buy. I go to another store that is similar. The guys who own it import stuff for dollars stores and what the stores don't buy ends up in their outlet store. They also buy huge lots from places that are closing, discontinued merchandise or some with slight defects. I have gotten so many Wilton baking pans there for only $1-$2., Wilton cupcake liners for .25 you get the picture. They turn the merchandise quickly and its all name brand stuff. My favorite thing I got there was a Pyrex bowl for 50 cents. You have to go often and just see what they have.

I could see using their pregger test. After all, even if the test doesn't work, you will figure out if you are pregger or not pretty soon. The condoms , on the other hand .... I would just really want them to work.

I took a chance with the $ store pg tests too and they worked for us. I spent way to much money on the big boxes at Costco.

yes big lots does crack me up... sometimes they have femine 'refreshing' stuff on clearance... and all these weird 'intimate gels' and what have you... right alongside that will be baby stuff and this and that LOL ... at my store, where they have the closeout merch from other places, its a hodge podge mess of what you may find... i cant even think of what my favorite find has been there, but they do have some actual good stuff that you would normally buy for much more other places (like the huggies disposable wascloths)

also at mine recently i found a pullups (girls or boys) potty training guide. . . came with chart, stickers, rewards, and pullups of course <3
