Anyone seen an ad with exactly what they are? I thought it would be in today's paper, but nothing. I'm very excited (but trying not to get my hopes up) by the TV ad's claim of 50% off Fisher-Price!

I went through the ad yesterday and it did not say 50% off Fisher Price toys anywhere. I will check again when I get home tonight.

I'm looking at that slide but I'm still not sure. I wanted to get her an actual playhouse with a slide attached but those are like over $200!!

I went this morning and bought the Melissa & Doug corner kitchen at 50% off for DD's Christmas gift. I've had my eye on a different one, but this looks like it has more storage space in the one big cabinet versus the plastic ones w/lots of small cabinets. BTW - best thing about shopping w/a toddler less than 2-yrs-old is that you can buy their Christmas gifts right in front of them and they have no idea. :-) I don't know what I'll do in future years!

I know, so far it's been great shopping because no one has to watch her or my BF and I don't have to take turns. It's also nice because if they have a display we can let her play on it and see if she either knows how to work it or likes it at all.

Looks like the only 50% off Fisher-Price item is that kid-tough DVD player or whatever it is! Arrrrrrrrgh!

I did look at play food sets today and caught myself thinking that there wasn't enough in them. Like just one of each item in the set seemed weird. I have to remember that she'll just be playing kitchen/cooking, not setting up a grocery store!

I like the idea of lots of cabinets on the others, but my nieces have one and really there isn't a lot of space inside each one individually. I have a mental image of this kitchen set up neatly with everything stored away inside when she's not playing with it. Yeah, right.

! I know.. What do you mean people only have one of each item! That's insane! My mom's wants to get my daugther a kitchen. I told her our house isn't big enough so it has to stay at hers.. She is now thinking about something.. Cleaner..
She also wants one with a detached fridge? .. I'm like she's not even 2. It's not like she's setting up house!

Speaking of stockpiles and toddlers - letting DD play with stockpile stuff is one of the best ways to keep her busy in one area while I do some housework. She loves playing with her pile of Pull-Up wipes from Walmart, taking all of the baby wash out of her closet, and taking all of the lotions and bodywashes out of the hall closet then back in again. Her absolute favorite thing to play with - the pantyliners in plastic packaging. We have a picture of her holding several packs with a huge grin on her face. Everytime I open that closet door, she goes straight for them.
