| Ebay purchase-Should I be upset? **UPDATE**Post #14 and #57
I almost always order my coupons online. I went to order some pop tart coupons. I get them in the mail and they're blinkies. No where on the sellers posting did it state that. If I had known I wouldnt have purchased them. I went to walmart to use some of them. First off, they dont scan, says item not found or something like that. So I take them to customer service and since the coupon doesnt say manufacturer coupon on it she almost wouldnt take it. She called someone and asked and was told to go ahead and take it. I have more of these coupons left and now scared to even use them. What do you think? I sent the seller a note about 2 days ago stating how I felt and told her she should mention that on her post. Before, I wouldnt' have thought this a problem. But lately, it seems blinkies are turning into store coupons and are not working everywhere like they used to. Had the girl known this, then she should have stated it. But, most of us didn't know blinkies are starting to turn into store coupons so I don't think she is to blame. I think this should be a lesson to her and all of us to start being more specific when we are trading/selling coupons anymore so that we know what exactly we are getting so that we know where we can and cannot use them. Maybe even with blinkie trades and sales, we should ask/note where the coupon came from just incase so that we know where it can be used. Just my opinion!

Thanks for sharing your experience. Lately, I've been reading a lot of stores have been rejecting these Smartsource blinkies while saying they won't take them because they don't say MFR coupons in them. Technically they are correct, but these blinkies have all the features of a mfr coupon except for the words manufacturers coupon in them. UNFORTUNATELY, we cannot argue with stores if they refuse to take them. I've even read some Target saying, "you have to take them to smart source store" HUH???

I hope you haven't given the seller positive feedback. The buyers have more leverage now that buyers are the only ones who can leave neg feedback. The seller cannot leave a buyer neg feedback. If I didn't hear back from the seller within a few more days, I would write again voicing my displeasure and ask for a refund.

my walmarts won't take blinkies anymore. it should definitely be stated in the auction listing that they are blinkies and the store they came from

I appreciate the responses. I havent left any feedback yet. I might not leave a feedback at all. Id feel bad leaving a negative one, cuz Im not sure shes really to blame. But I dont really want to leave positive either cuz Im not happy with the coupons I received. I emailed her a couple days ago and havent heard back. I hope she takes it into consideration and adds that detail to her ebay postings.

I never buy coupons from Ebay unless they have pictures, so I can make sure what I'm getting is what I want.

I would just point it out nicely. The seller might be happy to know the details and maybe even send you some free stuff! You never know what may happen!

I don't think is the sellers fault, as all we know the stores has the right to refuse or take the coupons. Maybe she was not aware that the stores are refusing them. You can ask for a refund?

I just had a problem with the Kelloggs smart source blinkies and trying to use them at Wags. They wouldn't scan and I then noticed that it didn't say man coupon. I had also purchased them from a coupon site but it did say they were blinkies. So this must be something new. I would also hesitate to leave neg feedback as she probably sold them to you in good faith, but you could use a comment line to let her know that you contacted her about it and she did not respond. As a buyer on ebay THAT is info I would be interested in.

I'm still new to couponing... so please explain to me what I am missing on SmartSource coupons from a store blinkies machine? I'm lost...b/c when I've gotten a SmartSource Coupons Machine blinkies they have a Manufacturer Coupon box with a exp. date at the top. If I would get them without that I would be upset b/c I would not even want to try and use them. |

**UPDATE** Heres what I emailed her. Thought I was pretty nice about it. I received my order. I didnt realize these were blinkies. I had a hard time getting Walmart to accept this coupon. You might want to disclose that on your postings. And heres her reply: all walmarts take these coupons, walmart redeems over FOUR MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR from what you call blinkies, not ever clerk who works for walmart knows that these "blinkies" are real coupons, you need to learn to speak up for yourself when you shop, read my other feedback, 90 % of the coupons I sell are "blinkies" coupons. you let some clerk walk all over you, that is not my fault. please do not buy anything from me again. Wow that was amazingly rude. I would def. leave negative feedback if that is the case. She is basically blaming you for walmart not taking the coupon. That's not right> I'm sorry!

Unbelievable. I can't believe she said that. I would DEFINITELY leave negative feedback. Whether she knew or didnt know that blinkie's were not taken everywhere is irrelevant. That was flat out rude. I'm usually not one to leave neg. FB unless it's pretty major but In this case, I think her attitude said enough to warrant it.

Wow.. I don't even know what I would say to that.. Sorry.. Didn't realize 90% of what you sell are blinkies.. Maybe I was lucky and was going to be that 10%. I would leave negative feedback and never buy from her again.

None of her posts say blinkies, so unless I read all the comments on her feedback page and someone mentions it I wouldnt know. I left her neutral feedback when I didnt get a reply from my email to her about the coupons after 5 days. And now I get this email. I think she acted that way because of my feedback. All I stated on the feedback was that she never responded to my concern when I emailed her. I replied back to her stating I will definately not order from her again. and that I cant control walmarts policy and force them to take the coupons so in the end Im not at fault either like shes making it seem. |

Did the ebay auction not have a Picture? If there is No Picture or if the whole insert and there is no list of what is in the inserts I don't buy from them..
