You can sell coupons... or do mail in rebates to get things for free and then sell them on ebay... Here is a link to ebay: eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices |

yardsales. And sometimes clearanced stuff I find at Target. I recently bought 2 Nike golf gloves at Target on clearance and when they didn't fit my DH, instead of returning them for about $8 (for both), they sold on ebay for $15

I agree, yard sales of the rich neighborhood are the best place to hunt for gently used name brand stuff. I don't sell on ebay but I have sold a lot on craigslist; mostly expensive purses bought for $5 or less and turned into a small fortune. some of them even got sold at my own yard sale and the buyers are ebayers. oh what fun!

I mostly shop at a local discount store. Like a Big Lots, etc... I take a notebook with me and walk around and look for great deals. Anything that i think is a really good deal, I write it down in my notebook, noting the price. Then I go on ebay and research completed listings & find what "my finds" actually sell for. Some days I might start with a list of 30 things & nothing will be worth buying for resale. But every now and then you get lucky and find a great deal that will make you a bundle. I agree about yardsales as well. I have literally made hundreds of dollars selling things that I have found at yardsales. My best yardsale find, an americana fabric showercurtain from JCP, bought for $1 and sold for $50ish, a couple weeks later I went yardsaling, I found the Same style shower curtain! Bought & sold it again! I love shopping for treasures and them selling them!

Another thing I sold was an old jack in the box found for $3 at a yard sale and sold for $70 same thing with a wiggles play house bought for $3 for the set of 3 wiggles houses toy with like 4 characters sold for $75 oh and my favorite a lot of sweet pickles books 20 of them bought for .10 each (really bought these for my kids at a thrift shop) looked them up on ebay and dh made me sell them they sold for close to $80! I go to yard sales goodwill places like that... I used to love ebay but their fees are getting insane now... Everyonce in awhile though I still sell on there!

I look through goodwill, yardsales, thrift shops, etc...Sometime stockpile stuff although it is usually not worth it after shipping. Alot is stuff we no longer need and the kids have outgrown. Lots of times it is stuff on great clearance at target or kmart, esp. electronics and video games. I wait untill they put alot of it out at once and use a 10% coupon for even more savings.

I clean out closets in my house & get rid of clothes I no longer wear, clothes & toys that the kids have outgrown & such, I also keep an eye out when I go shopping for stuff on clearance like formula etc, a couple of weeks ago I found 2 12.9oz powder cans of Enfamil LactoFree on clearance at walgreens for like $3 each, sold them on ebay for $15 so I made a $9 profit + helped some other mother save on formula (which we all know is insanely priced), but most stuff comes out of my own closet, I am a shopping addict & rarely try things on at the store, so I normally have atleast 3 or 4 things that don't fit in my closet that are brand new still have tags & Im just too lazy to return them to the store (Im not really lazy, but its a pain to take 4 kids (7, 3, 2, & 1) to a store & wait in a return line forever)

I get clothing (mostly life is good) from TJ Maxx and MC Sports that I resell. I also have an American Girl outlet near my house so I am able to resell many items from there. And of course a few of my freebie/cheepo deals that I either got too much of or don't use at all. |

If you get a scale at an office supply store, shipping isnt too bad. I sell many similar items, so shipping is pretty easy. Boxes are available for items sent priority mail for free from the post office (check out USPS.com). Ebay is expensive to sell on. Depending on how you list your items you can expect to pay 10-12% in fees. Then you also have to pay paypal fees which is $.30 per transaction plus 2.9% of the entire payment (including the shipping cost). I also like to sell on Bonanzle. I don't sell nearly as much there, but the final value fees are far less. It is free to list. ![]() I sell as chaney_lake_treasures on ebay and chaneylakegirl on bonanzle. |

I need to have someone coach me through selling on eBay one of these days. I've bought enough stuff from there over the years- ! I keep wanting to do it, but I chicken out. I have a bunch of stuff I've picked up intending to sell on eBay at thrift shops & such. There are a couple resale shops that still have cheap prices so I always keep my eye out for good things. One funny thing I picked up for $1 is a Borax 20 Mule model kit on a whim- boy was I surprised to see how much the complete, in package kit goes for. My best buy on ebay has to be a VitaMix 5000 blender for $10, plus $15 S/H. They guy didn't list it correctly so no one else saw it. It came with all its original books & stuff too. I never thought I would own such a fancy & powerful blender, but man is it nice! |

there is a lady in my area who scours goodwill (2x per day) and grabs up all the 'nice' items to sell on ebay.

I have sold my own items, my daughter-in-laws and grandkids clothes. I did find a brand new pair of mens size 15 boots at Salvation Army one time...cant remember what I paid for them but tripled my money on them.

Im surprised i have not answered this as im a huge ebay resale person. I shop yard sales and goodwill b/c i never know what i find. And yes you CAN find name brand stuff cheap and turn around and resell it however you need to watch the market and research almost every week if not more to make sure whats hot and whats not. Its a lot of work but can pay off really well with the right items.
