Just curious how old your daughter is? I have the entire VC Andrews collection and some of her stuff is questionable for children in case you haven't read it.

She is in HS and she only just started the flowers in the attic series. I read that particular series when I was 13 I have the cutler series and the casteel series and she is not reading them yet. But thank you for the concern.

That was nothing Trish! They got worse! I have read and own her entire collection except what has come out in the past 2 yrs. I just haven't gotten to get them. I wonder what happened to her a kid. She had this obsession with "certain topics"

The made for television version of "Flowers in the Attic" was kind of boring and disturbing. I remember reading the entire series when I was around 11 and didn't get disturbed at all, but, now that I am older and almost a grandma, this movie bothered me.

She died before I think even the flowers in the attic series were finsihed and it has been a male ghost writer I think. VC Andrews was in reality a VERY eccentric woman who had a bit of a pill/drug/alcohol problem. Most of her books deal with incest and other "taboo" subjects. It has been awhile since I've read any of them. While the FIA series was interesting, IMO most of them just seem much alike. Maybe it's just cuz it's always brother/uncles/fathers, etc sleeping with daughters/sisters/cousins then killing them? Ok, I know that's not 100% accurate The books have always been pretty popular and I remember loving them when I was 13-14ish cuz of the supposed "baddness" of them. LOL When the OP posted her daughter liked them, I was just hoping her daighter wasn't like 10 and that she knew what the books were about. Apparently the same thing going through HH's mind.

Trish: No she wrote very many of her books but all the rest are half works of hers being finished. I forget at what series she died. I use to know but they havebeen back shelved for a few years!
Kelly: I was quite ticked off when I saw FITA on TV because it just all around sucked compared to the book. I know they vary but they left s much good stuff out!
