| HELP! I need a new printer.
Hello Ladies! I am in dire need of a new printer. I haven't been able to print for the last 2 months. No printables! I am going crazy. Does anyone know where I can get a good deal on a color printer? |

I heard someone say that Walmart has a 3 in one printer for $40! I don't know the brand, or quality but $40 isn't too bad. Good luck in your search!

I got a 4 in 1 Lexmark for 17.48 at Target a while back. They probably don't have any more left though. I would recommend Lexmark though. I had issues with that same printer and they sent me out an upgraded replacement. I had it in 3 days. |

Target usually have printers on clearance quite often, at least mine does Also you might want to check Circuit City for one of their open box items |

I love HP but the ink cartridges are too pricey for my blood! I have also used Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more! & TigerDirect.com Best Deals - Computer Parts, PC Components, Computers & Electronics. Have found the service at Tiger Direct to be of the highest quality and speedy delivery. They both have reconditioned, returns & open box! They also have FREE overnight shipping specials sometimes. Be sure and check under shopping on the upper toolbar and see if one of the stores is listed there. Good luck in your search!

I would not get an Epson. You cannot get their cartridges refilled, so they must be bought new. Also, Staples and Office Depot do not accept them for the $3 discounts. Their cartridges are expensive and I would not buy another Epson (this one was a Christmas gift)

I work from home and previosuly bought an Epson for the rpice and ended up going back to the HP as it is a better printer all around. I have never had any issues. In fact one of the print driver (physical one on printer) kept jamming so I called HP & they sent me a new printer as well as a free shipping slip to send my old one back. When my Epson broke right around a year they would do nothing for me! My HP ink is not expensive at all. It is like $17 each. I buy from Staples & use my rewards card so I get discount Qs all the time. In fact I just used a $10/50 last week. Lastly when I got my new laptop w/ VISTA I ahd problems printing, HP walked me through the fix w/o any issues. I print a lot as I am a bookkeeper so I would never buy anything other than an HP.

I had a friend who bought a HP and had a problem with it from the start. She called CS and they asked for her name and phone number. She asked why they needed it and they hung up on her. When she called back the same thing happened. She was hung up on 3 times by HP's CS.

You need to be more concerned about the cost of ink rather than the cost of the printer as that is what will burn you in the long run. Lexmark makes a pretty good printer but the cost of consumables is always outrageous. I personally wouldn't have a Lexmark due to that fact. I have an older Canon MP130 AIO that has been great and all the Canon MP line has been very highly rated. Seems like Office Depot has recently had MP630's on clearance for around $60. Before you buy (or at least before you decide to keep), I would recommend that you go to some reputable online sellers of generic inks to see how much it will cost you to keep printing. I was lucky as the one I got was the last of the line using the old generic bubblejet cartridges before Canon switched to using a proprietary "chipped" cartridge like HP uses to prevent aftermarket cartridges from cutting into their cartridge profits. Some good online sellers that I've used are megatoners.com & 123inkjets.com. My cartridges are less than $1 each, but the newer Canon cartridges are considerably more. If you don't really need color, I believe they had a cheap laser at Staples for around $50 AR. The OEM toner cartridges are painful to buy but there are aftermarket cartridges available on Ebay that can make that an economical option as well. You also don't have to worry about toner drying out if you don't use it frequently like you do with inkjet either. |

I have HP Printers and DH has ALSO for many years and we are happy with them - No trouble and their online help is very good if you need it. You can turn in the used cartridge for a ream of paper or $3 store credit - Varies with store. Ccannot do with some othe cartridges. I also see the HP cartridges on sale from someone n EBAY ALL THE TIME- (I got them from him once and they were fine) - I usually need in a hurry and no time to watch the auctions so get them at Office Depot or Staples near us. Here is a printable 10% coupon for OD if you still did not get the printer file=/promo/pages/113007_coupon.jsp&cm_ven=InternalEmail&cm_cat=20080311direct&cm_pla=MainFeature&cm_ite=Coupon10Shop Linda

I honestly believe that the HP I posted above is an awesome deal and it has everything you need~printer, scanner, fax and copier. I paid close to $100 for mine at WM after the house burned, so approximately 18 months ago and the only trouble I had was when we had the lightning storms and power surges, and that was my fault, not HP's. $44.98 is an awesome deal for an all in one

I don't know how they work, but have heard the new Kodak printers have the lowest cost ink cartridges.
