Thomas & Friends sets at TRU -- can I use coupon with sale?
Last week I bought my son the Thomas & Friends roundhouse at TRU. It was $84.99 and I used the 20 percent off coupon from the "all other stores" part of this site. This made it $67.99 before tax.
I see that starting Dec. 16, all Thomas sets priced $79.99 and up will be 25 percent off. So, my question: will they let me do a price adjustment for the difference? What is the best price I should pay for this? Will they adjust it down to 25% off $84.99 (=$63.74 before tax) or will they go to $63.74 and let me take an additional 20 percent off with the coupon? I am guessing that because the set falls to less than $79.99 when it's 25% off, the coupon won't be valid any more.
Second question: If I wanted to buy another set -- let's say it was $120 -- so, 25% off brings it to $90 -- would they let me use the 20% off coupon then? I.e., get a $120 set for $72? Because if that's the case, I'll return the roundhouse and get something that's a better deal. (I printed a few copies of the coupon, so I can play around with them.)
Normally I would just go up there and bargain/haggle with them, but I hate to face that store/those lines this week!
Thanks!!!
