What does it mean to double coupons? Im thinking if i had 1 product and 1 coupon.. they scan the coupon twice? or is it having 2 products and 1 coupon and using the same coupon for both products? im so new to this.. just trying to understand it all. Do most stores double coupons? I usually shop at Safeway and Albertsons here in WA state.

Double coupons just means that they double it. If it's worth 50cents, it would be $1. Most stores that double coupons regularly it just comes off automatically at the register when they scan your coupon.
I go to Harris Teeter and they double all the time up to $1. Most stores do not double is what I've found. I'm in NC.

Monisgirl -- WHERE in NC are you? I ask, b/c there are A LOT of grocery stores in NC that double coupons! Bi-Lo, Harris Teeter, LowesFoods. Those are the 3 big chains that I know of that double in NC, and they all double up to 0.99

Thanks, I never shop anywhere that would give me double coupons (I always thought double coupon means you buy 1 product, and have 2 coupons...haha) Anyway, I used to live in San Francisco, and just moved to Las Vegas. Never have any stores that I shopped before gave me double coupons. It must be the East Coast things?

It's bigger in areas where there is a lot of competition for shoppers. When I lived in Boston all the grocery stores doubled coupons. Now that I live the midwest it's usually just Weds, or one day a month, and there is a limit on how many you can double.

Does anyone know of any in Kansas that double? I am not from here so I am not sure........

I just called EVERY grocery store that is somewhat close to me and NOONE doubles coupons. You guys are making me jealous...
