I am so glad that I found this site! I am a stay at home mom of two small kiddos and my DH and I have a construction company that we run from home. I have been doing alot of research on how to start couponing and I was so very excited to find AFC! The problem is - I just don't know where to start!! I am from a rural area with Wal-Mart, Safeway, City Market (Kroegers) and walgreens. I read all of your posts and am in awe - I feel like I will never get to the point where you Coupon Masters are!!! It is all so interesting but I am so confused!!! Where and how to start?? Here is a little bit of my info to give you an idea of where I am at: We have one baby in diapers, two small dogs, I always try to feed my family healthy foods. We hunt, so meat is not really an issue. I don't know what to stockpile, and I desperately want to know how to be like all you folks out there who but $100.00 worth of product for $7.00!! My ultimate goal is to be able to take care of my family for $25 per week OOP. Is that too ambitious or is it possible?? Please Help Me! |

Have fun while saving $$'s! There's a lot of information here, and I found it best to concentrate on only one store to begin with. Read as much as you can on that particular store (Wags or WM). I keep a notepad by me when I read the various threads. As I see deals I want to replicate, I make a note of that, by the store. Once you've "tackled" one store, add another. It's pretty easy to trade or purchase coupons through this site, too. Wags has a lot of money making potential with their RR program. I'm fairly new to AFC as well, but it's well worth the effort. It's a lot of fun, and there are some great people here, too.

Good advice from the previous poster. If it starts to feel overwhelming, just take a step back and go bakc to one store at a time again. It's really not that hard once you get the hang of it, but it can be a lot to start out. Good luck - keep reading and ask questions! Welcome!

Def concentrate on one store first. It is not going to happen over night. I run businesses out of the home to and remember they are the most important because they make the money that we can coupon shop with. Do not forget that. I sometimes think too much about getting the best deals and not about working. That is when I know I need a break. You will get the hang of it. It takes time and once you get your first huge thrill of a really low oop you will be hooked. |
