I just started in June and still have a lot to learn but feel like I've come a long way since then. I started at Target and used target Q's with Manufacturer Q's that matched and bought items that were on sale or clearence. Clearence items are usually found on the end caps and you can do really well on cleaning items and even food items.
Do any of your grocery stores double Q's up to .99 on a daily basis? I live in NC and shop at Harris Teeter, Bi-Lo and Lowes Foods, they always double Q's up to .99. Recently Harris Teeter has held a weekly promotion where they will triple Q's with a face value up to .99, and they have also done Super Double where they will double Q's with a face value up 1.99. You can go online and view their deals to see if you have any Q's that match their deals to max savings. You can also go and pick up their circular.
Sale weeks go from Wednesday through Tuesday.
I notice that the items I get Q's for tend to go on sale soon thereafter, sometimes that next week and sometimes it takes a couple weeks.
I clip and file every Q because you never know what will be a free deal or very cheap. HTH
