how far back do you keep your inserts?

just curious how far back does everyone keep there inserts, what is the general rule? do they expire after so many weeks or months?

I have them back to 6-7-09 there might be a q or two that ain't expired, so I'm thinking maybe 12 weeks back or so.

Just trying to get a organized system, I have them in a file cabinet and I was just thinking I would start throwing them away after too long cause I will not have the room much longer.

I appreciate any info, thanks

I keep mine until all the coupons in it expire. If it's only 1 or 2 coupons, I sometimes will pull those pages and put them in a hanging file folder to save room in my file cabinet. I'd say about 3 months is accurate for most inserts.

I hang my inserts in a file box too. What I do is once a week or so I go back to the oldest insert and cut out the last few that I have for that week and file them by expiration date.
That works for me cause I have alot of loose coupons and I file them by the month they expire. I'm thinking about how I can do it by catagory in the file box.

I store mine by week in gallon size zip bags in date order in a tote bag, this makes everything portable! My latest inserts are dated 6/14 right now.

I keep rolling sets of 7 weeks in one of those 7 pocket folders

when a new week comes out, I pull the oldest one and go through it...
- trash expired Qs
- refill my Q box, if there are ones I will definitely use
- train/trade others [put in my train/trade file box]

I have 8/2 pulled to go through right now
