Meaty Money
So the butcher shop over here..

They dont wash their hands between touching the meat and your money..

So when they give me change I kind of almost don't want to take it.

I have started carrying a "Meaty Money" envelope to use only at the butcher shop.

Anyone else have this problem? What do you do?

Most stores around me don't actually take your card anymore. You swipe it yourself.

Let me ask a question: The counter person touches meat, then touches money then goes back to touching meat wearing the same pair of gloves?

In that case I couldn't shop there at all. I know stuff happens to my food that I don't see but if they disregard hygiene to that extent in front of customers, I'd really worry about what they did behind closed doors.

yeah well welcome to queens

they also have the "$15 credit card minimum" SIGN posted which of course they can not do in NY state

as long as i fully cook the meat i am not worried about the germs on the food

but i am worried about the germs on the money

ummm...Purrell???? Lysol spray the paper stuff... That is kinda gross and I am far froma germaphobe (even though I do have a thing of purrell attached to my purse.

Butchers have been doing this for hundreds of years. I don't that will be the thing that puts you in your grave.

I came home and rescued the meaty money from his pocket and tossed it in the piggy bank.
