| Need best Deal Out There For a Digital Camera
Jerry (my son) asked me to ask ya'll to find him the best possible deal on a half-way decent digital camera. Or, if somebody has a good one for sale that they will guarantee. He bought Lacie a camcorder for her birthday but, they do not have a digital camera and would like one....so if anyone knows the best deals out there right now or has a good one for sale, please pm me...thanks, Kelly.

I think that they should have a good sale on them for the Memorial Weekend. All major holidays come with sales. I love my Kodak and of course my other camera that was stolen, but I can't remember the name of it. Duhhhhhh!

I would recommend checking out overstock.com, they have really low shipping costs and if you are a member of mypoints you get 10pts per dollar. They have several Fujifilm cameras ranging from $117 to 155. This is the camera I use and it takes fantastic pictures. They do have lots of other brands such as Vivitar starting at $80 and Kodak for $90. The one camera you should definitely steer away from is the Polaroid, their products have really gone downhill, I have had 2 and they took dark, grainy pictures.

i wouldnt buy a camera from overstock thats a very bad idea. kel, just keep an eye on staples ads then buy on staples.com. coupon down 30 bucks or so, then PM to online retailers. use mr. rebates for the cashback. use staples biz rewards for extra points. double check to see if discover or amex are offering bonuses on staples at the time. if he knows what model he wants that really helps. if he has nothing to work with then any one of the million different packages with a camera, printer, case, coupon book, etc will be just fine for him. I would tell him not to spend more then $100-150 on his first digital camera no matter what. Once he uses it a lot and decides he really likes it and is going to use it often he can sell it on ebay and buy something better. dragonfire, i used to think mypoints was great for shopping as well, we've all been there! let me tell you about a great site called evreward.com. go to evreward.com and put in the name of the online retailer, and they comparison shop all the cashback or points you can get. for example at overstock.. Cash Back Rebates Sign on to these programs to get up to 7% cash back on your purchases at this merchant. Big Co-op.com 3% Big Crumbs 2.7% Bounty Zoo FEE up to 7% Cashbaq 3% Fat Wallet 4% Mr. Rebates 4% College Savings Plan Rewards Shop with these programs and save a portion of your purchase towards college. Baby Mint 5% Little Grad 5% Upromise 3% Frequent Flyer Miles & Hotel Rewards Go to these websites to earn miles or points good for free travel on all your purchases at this store. Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan 1 mile per $ Aloha Airlines AlohaPass 1 mile per $2 America West FlightFund 1 mile per $2 American Airlines AAdvantage 2 miles per $ Continental Airlines OnePass 3 miles per $ Delta Airlines SkyMiles 3 miles per $2 Intercontinental Priority Club 3 points per $ Marriott Rewards 3 points per $ Northwest Airlines WorldPerks 1 mile per $ Radisson Goldpoints Plus 20 points per $ United Airlines Mileage Plus 1 mile per $ Points Programs & Other Shopping Rewards Shop with these programs and earn points that are redeemable for various rewards. I just today heard about Cashbaq, mentioned in the previous post. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Is it online only?

costco always has some good deals especially on electronics. I would go with a Panasonic camera. They have the best lenses for great pics. Yesterday, a 10mega pixel camera was under 170 which is good

check amazon for great camera deals. I love, love my cannon powershot A-series which I got from amazon a few years ago for just a little over $100 after all discounts and it qualified for super saver shipping. I like amazon because of their price guarantee so I know I'm getting the best price. sign up also for woot dot com specials. they come up with lots of crazy sales for top of the line items with $5 flat rate S/H.

Refurbished electronics are great. They're technically used, but the company revamps them to resell. A third of the price, and just as nice. Don't forgot the geeky sites, like woot.com (though that's a gamble; they have incredible prices, but only for one thing for one day) and newegg.com. Also, I suppose it depends what you mean by "half-way decent." I won't have anything less than 3x optical zoom now, but you can take fine pictures with 3x digital zoom. I'd say Kodak is a good middleground company. |
