I have a store that I just found around me that says on the ad "We double Manufactures coupons Everyday, Up To $1.00"
So my question is does that mean if I have a 1.00 coupon it will double to 2.00 or does that just mean if I have a .55 coupon it will double up to 1.00. I am a little confused about it. TIA

MOST stores double up to a .50 coupon , to total $1.00. What you've written there could be interpreted as just that - a .50 will double to $1.00 - but it could also mean they will double $1.00 coupons. Very, very few stores double $1 - and if they do, it is only for a short period of time. You need to ask and get clarification. I'll be it is only up to .50 coupons that will double - but you should check.

BTW, a .55 coupon would not be doubled under the first circumstance. Only a .50 would be.

What store is it? Where in VA are you? NoVA or SoVA?

Good response. But I'd check w/corporate by email or phone FIRST b/c it's way too common for store staff to misinterpret.

The store is called Farmer's Food and I live in central VA near Richmond. I am going to call and ask I got all excited when I saw that ad and i thought that 1.00 q's would double. Kroger only doubles up to .50 q's which make them a dollar so i guess I thought it would be the same but 1.00 q's would double. That would be sweet but to good to be true. I just thought I would ask! Thanks

BTW - funny story - my FIL has always thought Double Coupons means they'll let you use two coupons on one item.

According to their website ( which doesn't mention their coupon policy ! ) Farmer's Foods carries a lot of the same private label brands as a chain up here in the DC area called Shopper's Food Warehouse.

Not sure if Farmer's Foods is related - but Shopper's only doubles to $1 unless it is Triples time. They used to double $1 coupons during Triples, but haven't for the past few triples cycles.

Let us know what they say!

So if it is a up to a 1.00 would that mean if I have a .60 coupon they would make it a dollar? Since its up to a 1.00. Sorry I am so confused I am use to it being .50 and it doubling to a dollar so at kroger if its .60 it doesn't double. Am I correct?

A .60 would not double at all. A .60 q would be redeemed at .60

Only coupons .50 and below would be doubled.

I don't know b/c Harris Teeter uses similar wording. The ads and signs state that they "double coupons up to $0.99". Any coupon $0.99 or under doubles. $0.75 doubles to $1.50. (as long as it doesn't exceed the product's price)
